All i see is people crawling out from their caves to vindicate Depp and crucify Heard , as the evil abuser that posed as a victim, despite the evidence of them being in a very manipulative and toxic relationship. 

The long thinkpieces about male victims that are being posted on social media are very transparent and hypocritical. These are the same people that make fun of male victims when they come forward with their story. It's just another excuse to spew hate on women and portray them as liars, nothing more nothing else.

This feels like a backlash to the #MeToo and Time's Up movement, as well as to feminism more generally. It feel like the Trump era was just the preview to the reactionary backlash occurring to the irreversible progress made by minority groups in the first half of the 21st century.

I mean...he doesn't admit to anything in this tape unlike her who LITERALLY says she hit him multiple times in his tapes and teases him how no one will ever believe him.

 

She could've been recording and said something totally random in there to fabricate a story, which she did. He didn't react to what she said. He just told her to shut up. She also sounds out of it...like she's drunk or something...

 

Are there pictures of her with cigarette marks? I mean he has plenty of physical abuse marks documented...all she has are fake bruises that were supposedly covered by a product that only released a year after their divorce 

 

He has no history of ever being violent against previous women as far as i know...unlike her, who actually HAS. Did he just wake up one day in his 50's and decided to beat up a woman randomly?

 

Again...SHE ADMITS TO BEING VIOLENT TO HIM MULTIPLE TIMES...he has documented multiple injuries done by this woman. She has nothing substantial on him.

I'm pretty sure he has past of trashing hotel rooms. It's not that he just became violent later in life, it could have to deal with his addiction issues becoming worse later in life, which has caused a personal and professional spiral into destructive behavior. I'm sure Amber is no saint, but to imply that this wasn't at least mutually toxic seems naive.

Does Depp have any past allegations or history of abuse in past relationships? I've seen others point out his exes speak positively about him.

 

I'm not siding with him by any means, but from personal experience of being in a mentally abusive relationship myself, all it takes is one toxic person to spread that negativity and start dragging you down with it.

The idea someone can't be abusive because they have no history of known abuse is absurd. And not only that, but Vanessa isn't really only speaking good of him - she just said he never abused her. He was calling her a French extortionist ***** and ***** just a couple years ago.

 

The rush to defend him really highlights the dark side of celeb worship. I'm not saying he's guilty or she's perfect, but everyone made up their mind the moment this all started because he's such a beloved icon. We don't know this man outside of his movies.

There were tons of people who didn't really care, were indifferent or believed Turd no questions asked when it started because she's a) a woman and b) first to make accusations. I was one of them. While I'm sure there were people who sided with him right off the bat it's a lie to say that "everyone made up their mind the moment this all started because he's a beloved icon" and a cheap way of diminishing the public support he has now.

There’s been blinds for years that Johnny is a bit of a looney bin. I’m actually perplexed at the amount of people who are convinced he’s innocent and did nothing wrong. This is why so many men get away with so much. 
 

Now, before y’all come waddling, I recognize Amber is no better and she’s also a shitty person. Both of them are abusers who should be ignored once this is all said and done.

It's doing zero damage do Depp that hasn't already been done, it's doing the opposite: painting him as sympathetic, charismatic, likable. He's said several times that he doesn't really care about Turd's money or Turd getting punished and would have liked to leave her behind and move on years ago. It's all about the opportunity for his moment of redemption and he's winning in the court of public opinion. Winning the trial would only be the cherry on top and the real goal is making it acceptable to book him for movies again and that wouldn't be achieved by "just settling it".

Even if he's winning in the court of public opinion, if he loses this lawsuit, after losing in the UK, no studio will ever hire him again. We saw what happened right after he lost the case in the UK: he was forced to resign from his Fantastic Beasts role. If he loses again, regardless of what the GP thinks, it won't look good for a studio to hire someone who's been found to be a "wife-beater" twice in a court of law. This lawsuit can only hurt Depp. It won't help him whatsoever.
