Both are talented artists that deserve a great deal of recognition. You can praise their talents without having to undercut someone else's. In fact, Taraji P. Henson cheered the loudest when Viola won the Emmy over her many years ago. They're all great. No need to treat them as if only one can be talented. I know this is ATRL and this isn't something we commonly do, but it's worth giving it a shot.

No, it doesn’t - what exactly are you even talking about? 

 

1) As much as I love Angela Bassett, she has been very conscious about her film choices since the late ‘90’s and not all of her roles have been Oscar-worthy at all. The role she should have won an Oscar for went to Holly Hunter, unfortunately.

 

2) Taraji P Henson is absolutely hit and miss.

 

All three are exceptionally talented, but Viola Davis simply has the much better repertoire hence more awards. 
 

Also, I know you’re not talking about “overrated” when you’re a Kate Winslet fan.
