How does Harry Styles get away with supporting Israel?

At a time when artists are being held accountable for their past bigotry (including Camella's racist posts she made when she was 14), Harry styles seems to coast by unscathed by his open support for Israel, things he did as a 20 years and older adult.

-He's best friends with Ben Winston, a staunch Zionist.

-He liked this tweet by Ben and followed the writer of the article

Despite the misleading title feigning concern for Palestinians, the article fails to acknowledge Israel apartheid regime and oppression of Palestinians.

- He asked for and proudly waved this hammer brandishing the Israeli flag in concert during the 2014 Israel attack on Gaza that killed more than 1 thousand Palestinian civilians

- He tweeted support for the Israeli fans while Plaestinian civilians were being killed

- He expressed wanting to visit Israel ignoring it's egregious war crimes

- He did this

- He told israeli comedian nicky goldstein in 2017 that he still wants to go to israel ‘so bad’

- He expresses joy whenever he sees an Israel flag in the audience

His support for Israel was scrupulously wiped out from the internet by his team, evidently they know how incriminating it is.

Instead of holding him accountable, his fans usually just deflect and spread miss information like they did here:

Supporting Israel isn’t an opinion any public figure has ever really been held accountable for, so I don’t see why you feel the need to single out Harry.

White man.

Yeah I don't know who gets held accountable for supporting Israel really? Obviously in certain circles it isn't acceptable but most of the mainstream media and mainstream politics in the UK is supportive of Israel and considers opposition to Israel anti semitism. Younger people are more likely to support Palestine but people who like pop boys generally don't like them for their political views and men aren't held to as high a standard as women when it comes to that sort of thing.

Can we have a complete list of artist that supporting Zionist gov?

If his team thought he wouldn't be held accountable for his behaviour, they wouldn't have nearly completely wiped it out from the internet.

Celebrities are now expected to be educated about the Israel occupation of Palestine, and they are held accountable for their actions. Just two years ago, Demi Lovato was criticized for accepting to visit Israel even though they said they did purely for religious reasons. Harry is more explicit non his support and he gets away with it.

I'm not arguing about anything, both are bad things. But like, "supporting Israel" is only seen as an immoral thing in very left-wing activist spaces. Most people who listen to Watermelon Sugar are not very left-wing. Camila's racism was more blatantly obvious as abhorrent to everyone, thus why it made international headlines.

Are we trying to holding accountable for this and for dressing up queer when he clearly is a straight man?

Good. I also support Israel. I would never give my support to an openly homophobic country like Palestine.

So first we fight for a right to dress whathever we want and then we...police how other people should dress? :toofunny2: Make it make sense. Clothes dont have gender/sexual orientation. You sound stupid

In the same way many Westerners get away with supporting Israel. Get out of your SJW bubble.

You'd think this would be a more popular opinion on ATRL of all places. These hoes have no idea what they're supporting.

So actual queer lgbt people doing this get nothing  but hate and we have to cheer for a straight man doing it? No thanks

Even I know that thread is full of lies. There’s a thread debunking all those pictures so why you bringing it up here again? Time and time again you all need to be reminded that stans on twitter make threads like this for artists they hate so they can get a hate train going. Ive seen the same type of threads for other celebs and 90% is made up lies just stop already

My god, this whole thread is a mess and a half

He's just another Hollywood puppet, his whole act is nothing more than performative activism. Ever wondered why he gets booked for all these big movie roles and musical gigs? It’s not like he has an ounce of talent in either fields. Criticizing Israel would threaten his relationship with Hollywood Jews, the same people who’re keeping his career afloat.

He only needs to take a stand against Will Smith for the Pandora box to come wide open :matty:
