Not really. People were shaming her and calling her a Grandma in 93, long before her use of filters, and back then (at 35) she didn't have a wrinkle in sight. If she has issues with her face (and body) in 2022, after 30+ years of articles like this, we shouldn't  be surprised it's had some kind of effect on her.

 

and let's be real, the pop fandom only respect the majority of older artists when they aren't a threat to their favs. People like Barbra, Cher, Elton etc haven't sold as many records as Madonna (despite them releasing double the amount of albums in a longer time-frame). Their tours (as well as many younger acts) haven't out-grossed Madonna (unless they do 100+ dates). These artists were never referred to as: the King/Queen of Pop, and this alone (without dragging her numbers into the equation) drives fan-bases insane.

Wrong, people shame her because they don`t have a life, and she has and live it as she wants. And it`s easy to shame in social media. And it`s her right to do have fun with filters, everybody does why she can`t. And you talk about famous women in their 60 there are plenty who do cosmetic surgeries and use filters, younger too, but most of them aren`t Madonna, they don`t have the impact that M has, or the amount of fame M have, and baby it`s fashion to bullie M, since day one, because most of them are afraid of her ideas or the way she lives her life. I admire her because she doesn`t follow the rules made by men or society. If she wants to f... her face, ok, it`s hers. She lives with freedom. And that annoys a lot of people. As she says, the most controversial thing she ever made was to stick around, and doing the opposite of other legend, who faded away slowly...

i also sometimes use photoshop to hide my blemishes or make a certain part of my body appear slimmer, but guess how i would feel seeing a picture of myself posted by someone else who altered my pics to remove my imperfections
