F.U.C.K. - def very corny but I still really enjoyed it

Posted

Fair - let’s not kid ourselves here, this is absolutely horrendous besides the decent nostalgic beat. She sounds turrible on it and the ooh’s on this are just mind boggling. Very mediocre

Posted

Immature - decent; not really all that impressive

Posted

Strangers - I just can’t get into this album. It’s not bad but it just doesn’t do a whole lot for me. The ending of this was cute but this song is too long for me to really be all that excited about it

Posted

Girl of the year - actual pop perfection. This is what emotion wanted to be but Carly doesn’t nearly have enough talent to pull off something so masterful yeah

Posted

Chinese - really? For this category? I mean it’s not horrible but c’mon now

Late To The Party - damn ma.. besides the Allie x sender.. do y’all even wanna win?

WJSN - Pantomine - It's okay. Nothing I'd ever replay, probably.

A change is gonna come    OH YES IT WILL!

WJSN - Pantomime - I just heard this song for the first time in a K-pop rate I did, it's a pretty solid song, has a lot of great production elements that stands out, I enjoyed it a lot.

Lianne La Havas - Green Papaya - I love this song so much, I got into her discography earlier this year after seeing her give an amazing live vocal performance, great choice!

Lindsay Lohan - Ultimate - This did absolutely nothing for me, pop rock is something that is very hit or miss for me and this is a mess, like to me a lot of songs in this genre from the early 2000s are very identical and only some  have interesting elements to make them standout and this isn't one, im so sorry.

SASAMI - Call Me Home - Something about the tone of her voice I'm not a fan of, the song itself is okay, not my type of thing tbh, but it's fine.

Posted

WJSN - Pantomime: Oh, this is cute. Here for it.

Posted

Lianne La Havas - Green Papaya: WHO is this? Why I haven't I listened to this person sooner? I feel the vibes; I'm here for the vibes.

July bops

La Roux - Sexotheque - This is a pretty good pop song, I enjoy the melody and the chorus a lot, a nice pick.

Imogen Heap - Headlock - This was also pretty good, lovely production on this song, I like it!

Billie Eilish - Oxytocin - One of the best songs from that album, in the first month I was really feeling that album but now I barely go back to it other than 5 songs and this is one, I love it! I wish she released it as a single with a music video, it would be something different for her. Best song in this category imo.

GFRIEND - Apple - this was nice, I like it.

Oh idk if I said anything but idc about Late to the Party

Posted

Lindsay Lohan - Ultimate: Massive points for nostalgia, because I loved this movie. I jammed to this when I was younger, and I did the same thing today. Nothing was lost on me after all these years. Still willing to sing this at karaoke.

Posted

SASAMI - Call Me Home: This is a song where you roll your windows down and let your hair flow in the breeze. Sort of like a Sara Bareilles song. I would listen to this again.

Posted

La Roux - Sexotheque: This song sounds older than it is, and I... am not a huge fan. I don't think this is my kind of thing. I think it's a good song, to be fair, just not what I like.

Posted

Imogen Heap - Headlock: The sounds/instrumental reminds me of a Digital Daggers song, which is exactly my type of thing. I don't know if I've listened to Imogen Heap before, but I really liked this.

Black Girl Magic

Tkay Maidza - High Beams - Excellent song, I sent her earlier this season and im glad to see her in this finale, lovely choice! Tkay is such a beautiful blend of genres sonically.

Victoria Monét - F.U.C.K. - Another amazing song, Victoria deserves so much better ugh, the vocals on this are absolutely stunning, this category is stacked, the best one methinks.

Normani - Fair - One of my fav songs of the year, yeah it should have never been a single during spring and should have been released after wild side in last year autumn as a promo single but it doesn't take away the fact that it's a gorgeous r&b song and showcases Normani's versatility that she could also do ballady songs and not just dance tracks. Her voice is very rich and the lush production compliments the soothing vocals, you can hear the emotion behind her vocal delivery on this one and I stan this excellence.

FLO - Immature - FLO is such a talented girl group. All of them can SANGGGGGGGGG and as someone who appreciates vocals, it is a breath of fresh air to see vocalists who are on the rise in the industry, the harmonies in this are insane and they are 2/2 for me, I cannot wait to listen to their EP tonight, I just know I am going to gag. This song is another beautiful bop, it's giving Brandy x Toni Braxton with a modern twist, they all did their thing on this!

Billie EIlish - Oxytocin: I'm probably the only person who hasn't heard this song before this, and I think I made a good decision. Her voice ruins the song. It could be good, because the beat is great, but...

Posted

GFRIEND - Apple: Ooooo, my interest is piqued? The smoothness was unexpected, and I enjoyed it a lot. I really like this. Very solid.

Posted

Tkay Maidza - High Beams: Whew, this song is IT. Great choice, great choice. I would replay this.
