Tkay Maidza - High Beams: Okay first of all I wanna say three songs from her were sent this season and none from her second EP?? That’s her best! Regardless, this is still a big bop so I can’t be mad! Super catchy hook

Victoria Monét - F.U.C.K.: Sounds like the lobby music at a beach hotel, I mean that positively because it makes me feel nostalgic!

Normani - Fair: The vocal effects are my favorite part and remind me of something else but idr what (I think it’s a Chris Brown song ) anyways nice but not my fave by her or in this set

FLO - Immature: Girl this came out like twelve hours ago… :cri: trying to have your Surprise moment I see. Anyways, clearly a modern take on a Full Moon song, and it’s effective for sure. I tried it earlier but sounds better on my headphones :listening:

Ethel Cain - Strangers: MASTERPIECE ALERT!! This does work better in the context of the album (not using that as a detractor in my rank btw) but stands well on its own with the way it explodes in the second half. Very raw and heartwrenching, my power literally just went out  and I can confirm it sounds even better in the dark actually!

Allie X - Girl Of The Year: Okay yeah I’ll have to give you my #1… I played this song to death years ago and it still hits SO HARD. The maximalist synths, the high-pitched vocal run, the bridgeeee, perfect pop definitely, you want to scream at it the top of your lungs

Lily Allen - Chinese: Omg yess I know there’s 35 people but I can’t help wondering if you pandered to me specifically because (well one it’s kind of a random pick from the album but) I’ve said a few times this is my favorite song by her! Verses have a comforting vibe and I’m obsessed with the chorus, love the drums and especially the guitar in the outro(!!), and I will forever support women singing at the top of their register as I said about the Allie song

Kacey Musgraves - Late To The Party: Perfect way to close the finale, lovely song. I’m tired and out of words to vomit but yes I adore this!!
