Sanguine Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Jessie J - Abracadabra: HUGE BOP IDC. Her best song. L*ke snapped. I especially love the way she sings the “it’s so unreal you know” in the chorus, I used to think she was saying "ur so unriginal" which would be clever!!
Julia Fox Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 (edited) Joyce Wrice - Iced Tea it lacks something but it’s far from being bad x underwhelming tho because I love kaytranada productions Edited June 5, 2022 by Julia Fox
Bicassie Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 (edited) Anitta - Versions Of Me This is probably the best song I ever heard from her 8.7/10 Edited June 5, 2022 by Bicassie
Sanguine Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Joyce Wrice - Iced Tea: It’s no On One but still an enjoyable track!
touya kinomoto Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Sudan Archives - Down On Me - this was alright. kinda boring tho.
Julia Fox Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 (edited) fromis_9 - DM this has a similar vibe to the SUNMI one tbh but this feels more forced and less groundbreaking/good as a whole… also the choros is just there for me, don’t like their voices… also how is called this k pop type of songs? Is a genre? A movement? Clearly the most interesting things I have heard from the genre, not gonna lie Edited June 5, 2022 by Julia Fox
Bicassie Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Laura Mvula - Safe Passage This is just nice to me compared to the rest 6.5/10
touya kinomoto Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 YUKIKA - Soul Lady - anyone hating on this must get their taste reevaluated. also i get that city-pop isn't for everyone but you don't get to say if it' an attempt to sound cool or what. that's just how the genre sounds. anyhow this is my winner.
Sanguine Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 fromis_9 - DM: This EP took a couple listens to grow on me but when it hit it hit and this is a good song! The chorus is very explosive

Rotunda Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Iced Tea - Not gonna lie, I find this really boring and one-note.
Julia Fox Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - New York City Lights i really love Sophie voice but here her enunciation sounds weird and the song feels very like distracting, the instrumental with the voices and background vocals distracts me a lot to be honest… also the songs feels a little bit rushed and the song is a bit dated besides some of this songs don’t usually sounds dated at all x
touya kinomoto Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 (edited) Anitta - Versions Of Me - ma'am, wotticedis? i'm already getting ready for bed but why do i feel like skimming through racks of clothes right now? Edited June 5, 2022 by touya kinomoto

I said that because I love city pop but the old one, this new sounds forced and how surprise they started to do it when city pop songs like Stay With Me and Plastic Love started to get viral x
Bicassie Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Black Honey - Midnight Is this song about semen? The lyrics are kinda horrible but it slightly bops 6.9/10

Sanguine Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - New York City Lights: Definitely gives off New York vibes! Take that how you will
Julia Fox Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Goldfrapp - Anymore So long without listen to this electric bop… used to bop to that song on 2019 while being high while walking the streets in the middle of the night… so many memories of a very dark time of my life. Yes points x

touya kinomoto Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Laura Mvula - Safe Passage - another cute entry. however, it just went by? i barely noticed that the song was over.
Sanguine Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Goldfrapp - Anymore: Okay I remembered thinking this was their worst album but not remembering the track so I came in expecting meh but, it's not bad. It gives Black Cherry a bit which is their best album, but I wish you just sent something from that instead
Bicassie Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Jessie J - Abracadabra it’s alright but clearly on the weaker side of things 7.1/10
