ok finally a k pop song that doesn’t feel that generic and also sounds fresh and not that noisy on instrumentals/voices. Nice surprise, really liked… the pre choros was underwhelming tho but as an overall a nice entry… it will definitely receive points I fear, competition is hard now i fear x

Onto Me - This was really cute. It felt like it went by really quickly despite not necessarily being that short. I should do a deeper dive into UMI cause I like everything they’ve been on.

Lauren Jauregui - Don’t Wanna Say

 

really love her voice and vibe, the production is very cool, the beat, the trumpets and the harp gives a really cool atmosphere. Really surprised by this one. Only thing is that I like Spanglish songs, that took me out by surprise and affect my perception of the song. Probably is getting points tho

Genie - I like the chorus. I find the “I’m Genie for you boy” and “I’m genie for your wish” parts kinda annoying tbh.

- so i was watching Mic the Snare's monthly review of albums released last month and he mentioned that Ethel is the Americana version of Phoebe Bridgers. and i can see that tho this is less Americana than her other song that was sent in an earlier round. with that being said, this is quite good. the production is interesting.
