Rotunda Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Tiger - The lyrics are lame af but I can’t lie I do like the vocals and the instrumentation. I do feel like the repetitiveness makes this get old quickly.
Psycho Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Earth, Wind & Fire - Reasons: I like it, it's a smooth jam with nice production
Seffers Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 The Supremes - Only You this instrumental is ear candy, SUPER groovy. I enjoyed this
Rotunda Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 One More Time - I like the guitar solo, but hearing them say “one more time” with the exact same inflection 800 times was not it.
Seffers Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 ABBA - Tiger the #1 problem I feared with a 70s round was a repetitive lyrics problem and here we go didn't enjoy this much
Rotunda Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Double Cross - Excellent instrumental. The lyrics and lead vocals are whatever (though I do like the background vocals). Nice.
Seffers Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Sister Sledge - One More Time at least the instrumental solo was cute
Psycho Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Boney M. - A Woman Can Change A Man: Ooh I like this, especially the harmonies, it made me tap my foot
Seffers Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 First Choice - Double Cross okay so, this is a tricky song the instrumental is AMAZING, HOWEVER.. I feel as if the instrumental is completely drowning the vocals out, to where you can barely even understand what they are saying it's a nice song otherwise
Rotunda Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Here I Am Again - This reminds me of Ain’t No Way. Stands out nicely in this group, but I wish the song had more of the umph from the ending throughout.
Psycho Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Earth, Wind & Fire - On Your Face: It's a cute uplifting jam I like the message
Seffers Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Gladys Knight & The Pips - Here I Am Again they better SIIIIING. love love love this.
Psycho Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 The Jackson 5 - Ooh, I’d Love To Be With You: It's cute... too childish for me sorry
Psycho Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 The Three Degrees - Loving Cup: The lyrics are a bit corny
Rotunda Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Wish You Were Here - There is a good bit I like about this song but there is sooo much wasted time here for a song that has no real climax/build. I’ll re-evaluate it later, but this feels like a weird choice for when people are listening to 15 songs in succession?
Rotunda Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 You and I - Good, groovy, but I’m unsure if I’ll remember what this sounds like in a few minutes. Should do well with me though.
Psycho Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Sister Sledge - Love Don't You Go Through No Changes On Me: I like the darker tone to this song
Psycho Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 The Supremes - Early Morning Love: Really nice production, I like the synth in the background, and of course their vocals served
Rotunda Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 If It Wasn’t For The Night - Despite being long it feels shorter than most of the songs on this list. Should get my 12 barring some big surprise in these last few songs.
Seffers Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 (edited) Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd the song itself was average nothing to see here Edited May 14, 2022 by Seffers
