It's truly disgusting how Palestine is silenced and never addressed as it should. We all know it's because the USA has it's interest and ties with Israel so it's kind of impossible to do nothing, which leads to the world and people to kind of ignore it since it's like a lost cause for the poor people of Palestine. Israel's government isn't any better than Russia's for example (can't really talk about how the ordinary Israeli feels about this issue so I refrain from it)

A lot of ordinary citizens are very not happy about it despite the Israeli govt's attempts to brainwash them (I know a few people with Israeli heritage and they said it's hardcore, the country will literally pay for you to go do a 'vacation' that's just barely disguised propaganda) but I'm really happy to see people in general waking up and seeing the truth #FreePalestine

as explained, following the string of terror attacks disrupting the safety of civilians in the country and “random acts of violence” on the day of the said prayer  that weren’t contained by the local Palestinian police, the Israeli authorities unfortunately had to take control of the situation as the violence wasn’t only against the Muslim worshippers but also slipping to the Jewish ones near by.

 

also as mentioned, after arresting the trouble makers everything was back to normal instead of escalating with no authoritative power to handle the mess

There are two different things here: 

 

Freedom of speech, which is mostly about governments restricting the speech of individuals and groups.
Censorship, which can be happen due to government action and the actions of private interests, especially when those private interests have a monopoly or near monopoly.

 

This idea that if you just give freedom to the right, they will reciprocate and give more freedoms to the left is incredibly naive. The right wing cares about property rights, not human rights and they aren't giving anything to the left.

 

This has always been the case, we have never had uncensored free speech. Even when the main form of news consumption was the newspapers, there was a editorial bias. But while the newspapers might have supported the right, they had to sell to the masses who were the customers who would spend a few cents on a daily newspaper.

 

The situation is getting worse. We are now reaching a point where most of our social media will be owned by two of the richest men, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Their users are not their customers, their users are the product and their data is packaged and sold to the real customers such as large corporations, political groups or perhaps the Saudi or Russian governments and anyone else who is willing to pay.
