CaptainMusic
27 minutes ago, Rotunda said: The real question is how long until the next WOC wins a lead Oscar Viola is probably the best bet based on her respect, her problem isn’t just race but that in her biggest Oscar roles (The Help, Fences, Ma Rainey, The Woman King) she’s borderline supporting or in an ensemble. If she has a lead role like Michelle’s in a strong movie I really think she can win a 2nd. Zendaya fits the typical “IT girl” actress that often wins as well so I could see her winning in a few years.
Hector
Ecstatic EEAAO won Best Picture, Director, Original Screenplay Truly one of the greatest Best Picture winners ever. Overjoyed Michelle won, truly gave the best performance and historic for several reasons Overjoyed for both Ke Huy & Brendan winning Heartbroken Angela lost but happy Jamie won (though she was really 4th best in the category). Women Talking winning Adapted Screenplay felt right Ruth Carter winning for Wakanda Forever felt so right, the costumes were amazing

PlERRE
I think we can do it without a host again, even tho the monologue was fine I don't think Jimmy was necessary during the rest of the show.

It was released in March for god`s sake, all Oscar bait movie was released from Sep to Dec. The dildo, sausage scenes was out of the box for the Oscar standard. No one from the whole cast has been nominated for an Oscar before. The directors are literally unknown before this. It went against all the odds and pull off this sweep is so impressive, a classic. Girl ur talking like I've seen this. I saw exactly 1 movie in the entirety of the list: Elvis.

family.guy123
All quiet score, Brendan Fraser, and lady gaga were the stars of the show did I miss her, or was the actress from triangle of sadness left out of the in memoriam? How egregious if so. Kirstie alley’s death always hits me so hard whenever I’m reminded of it 🥺
Mikeymoonshine
I'm so happy Michelle won, the campaign to discredit her this year was sickening and all those people LOST tonight! I would have Picked Angela Bassett over Jamie Lee Curtis but I like Jamie and I'm not saying it isn't deserved, she was fantastic. EEAAO deserved to sweep, such an incredible unique film. When I saw it I was hoping it would but worried the weird parts might work against it. I think this is positive for the film industry that a movie like this can be a BO smash and an award show darling. Also congrats to Brendan Fraser, haven't seen that movie but he deserves this after what happened to him and his career.

Blade Runner
9 minutes ago, Insanity said: Name an Oscar nominee the last 10 yrs and I bet I never saw it Mad Max? The Wolf of Wall Street? La La Land? Get Out? A Star is Born? Avatar 2? Top Gun? Joker? Dune? Dunkirk? The Revenant? The Martian? Those movies were MASSIVE and made billions of dollars combined. Maybe you just don't like films in general. Edited March 13 by Blade Runner
