I think it makes sense for EEAAO to win Best Picture, it won every guild it completely makes sense.

No movie has won as many Oscars as EEAAO since Slumdog. I just don't think half the BP nominees should be Oscar-less except Elvis.

Tbh I lowkey hoped that Cate could win it for Tar to win one award since it was its strongest category but alas Michelle edged her out (both queens btw :heart2:)

The fablemans is one that actually looked worth watching

I've seen 7 of the nominees in BP and Fabelmans is the worst :rip:

Banshees and Women Talking are really good :heart2:

Sweeps r lame honestly they should learn from the Grammys

A before people think I'm bitter I've only seen 1 nominated movie. Oscar bait movies usually are awful

I normally against sweeps. But EEAAO is that *****.

And its not an Oscar bait movie at all. It was released in March for god`s sake, all Oscar bait movie was released from Sep to Dec.

The dildo, sausage scenes was out of the box for the Oscar standard. No one from the whole cast has been nominated for an Oscar before.

The directors are literally unknown before this.

It went against all the odds and pull off this sweep is so impressive, a classic.

I was really hoping Colin would take best actor because it was Banshees best shot at an award and I do believe that film deserved at least one (plus his performance was top-notch) but overall very pleased with Everything Everywhere sweeping!

So sweet and so cool.

it is. You feel a great grandeur and lust for life during it. I think it's Spielberg's best film, but I'm not a big fan of his blockbusters.

The real question is how long until the next WOC wins a lead Oscar

Going by the trends set by the Academy, it won't be happening for another couple of decades.

It was a very weak category, none of them gave Oscar winning worthy performances (closest is Stephanie)

Dolly De Leon on the other hand....

Viola is probably the best bet based on her respect, her problem isn’t just race but that in her biggest Oscar roles (The Help, Fences, Ma Rainey, The Woman King) she’s borderline supporting or in an ensemble.

If she has a lead role like Michelle’s in a strong movie I really think she can win a 2nd.

Zendaya fits the typical “IT girl” actress that often wins as well so I could see her winning in a few years.
