So Michelle thinks she's gonna WIN ha 1st Oscar in the LEAD cateory doing category fraud?

it's not fraud if you go to lead which is almost always the tougher category. it's fraud if you lie to get a guaranteed win like vikander down in supporting.

Armas sure is playing heavily the Gaga playbook even tho i doubt she'd even touch half the noms she got w HOG let alone a trifecta

it's gonna be Ackles that get the filler biopic slot if they manage to squeeze a spot

There is no such thing as "the Gaga playbook" in the film industry

Now that would be real category fraud. Isn't she the lead of that film? :skull:  :deadbanana2:

I guess she ran after seeing Michelle was out of supporting :dies:

There's clearly a path for Queen Williams to win her first Oscar when she decides to go for Lead instead of Supporting.

The movie is a contender for Best Picture and she's overdue for an Oscar.

Hoping that she prevails :duca:

Let's talk about THEE category fraud queen

1:06:58 of screen time (65.49% of the entire movie) and it still won for Best "Supporting" Actress when she was clearly the protagonist :skull:

And the fact that she basically had no career after this

Mess :deadbanana4: Linda Blair should've won this for The Exorcist

Be Kind Rewind needs to make a video essay about this ASAP

saw a bunch of trailers before DWD (:eli:) last night and most of them looked meh. Babylon, and Armaggedon Time look lame :rip:

I know Mr Chazelle will come thru but that trailer wasn't it.

she was in about 17% of the movie.

based on people's estimates, michelle's in way more of fabelmans.

Tbh the drama revolves around Michelle Williams’s character for the first 3/4 of the film. I can see why she went for Lead.

That's... a different story.

At the very least Joaquin is getting a nod + the crafts nods.

last duel got nothing.

all the money in the world got that 1 nom b/c of the oddness of the story, about plummer having to come in last minute to reshoot all of spacey's scenes due to the whole being a predator and criminal. presumably that is not something they wanna replicate.

In fact, of his last 10 films:

3 got 1 nom.

6 got 0 noms.

So that's a 10% success rate.

J.Lo didn't co-write "On My Way" so she technically wouldn't be nominated anyway. She would just most likely perform.

Blonde on Netflix in a few minutes :duca:

Just watched Blonde.

Ana was great and gave a tour de force performance as Marilyn.

But I think AMPAS will stay away from that movie :toofunny3:

I believe someday Ana will get nominated but definitely not for this movie :toofunny2:
