family.guy123 Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Crazy that Andrea is the one facing the heat when Michelle Williams is white, in a movie directed by STEVEN SPIELBERG with major studio backing, and is allegedly not even lead. She must just be giggling behind the scenes rn. Privileged **************

Donquizote Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Andrea deserves that nomination whether you like it or not. The one who should have been snubbed was Williams
Frozen99 Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 from the clips i saw, andrea played a white junkie just like any other, she deserved ****. 10 hours ago, Kylizzle said: She gets undeserved hate on social media from what I've seen sad, friendless losers
est. in 90s Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Just saw Tár and Cate Blanchett is most likely going home with her third Oscar...
Donquizote Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 There's no competition. Cate will win her third Oscar and soon she will surpass Meryl with her fourth Oscar. Truly a legend that we deserve.
fridayteenage Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 (edited) based on screentimecentral, this is the first time an actress lineup was majority 90+ minute performances. and the first time any lineup was 4/5 90+ minute performances. Edited February 11, 2023 by fridayteenage
McNulty Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Elvis was bad, the over-the-top editing was comical, Tom Hanks' performance was terrible. I can't believe how a bunch of professional cinematographers picked it for an Oscar nomination over The Batman or Top Gun. Austin Butler carrier that movie The Fabelmans was actually good, I thought I was gonna get very bored based on what I read but I liked it and I wouldn't mind Spielberg winning BD. I'm baffled with how Steven portrayed his mother tho
fridayteenage Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Yeoh would be the best acting win this century. Make it happen, voters!
Kylizzle Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 TAR would be the best acting win since Blue Jasmine
fridayteenage Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 this decade alone, youn and debose are better than c8
Dark Phoenix Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Wow The Whale was amazing!! Great acting from all the cast, I’m so happy that Hong Chau got the nom and hopefully she will win, she did better than all the other 4, and then since she’s Asian the members of the Academy will reward Cate with the Oscar saying that they already chose one POC actress… Also Brendan is taking the Oscar, is him vs Butler but doing cosplay is not enough. So it’s gonna be: -Cate -Brendan -Hong Chau -Ke Huy Quan Watch EEAAO only getting like 1-2 Oscars.

Donquizote Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Sorry but Tang Wei gave a better performance than Yeoh and got snubbed. Yeoh's win will be tragic when we have the best perfomance from this century from Queen Cate. People will revisit this category in the future and wonder how EEAAO managed to get the most nominations while the movie is basic at best
Donquizote Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Read somewhere that Michelle Yeoh supported corrupt Malaysian kpeptocrats Wonder how Academy will respond to this.

Like there's a dozen+ other performances that had hype at some point and some of us can only pit the two Asians together to uplift the white woman with 2 Oscars already
wesleywalrus Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Act II of Triangle of Sadness was the funniest moment in the theater this year. Third act fell short imo. Still an inspired couple of nominations from the Academy. Love how Ostlund's directing makes you feel awkward in many moments throughout the film.
Riot Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Read somewhere that Cate Blanchett named her son after Roman Polanski Wonder how Academy will respond to this.
