Both Davis and Deadwyler being shut out is extremely upsetting but not surprising sadly. It’s the Oscars after all. Michelle better win.

I think with black women snubbed in Lead, this locks a win for Bassett not Yeoh.

 

Oscar voters will feel like awarding POCs in supporting while white actors in Lead will be enough like they’ve done many times before.

Elba only won there because he was the only POC nominated and Blunt had 2 noms so they felt bad she was snubbed for both.

 

Davis already has like 5 SAG wins, and Deadwyler has 0 chance. If any WOC wins there it will rightfully be Yeoh.

Not really? He was snubbed at GGs and SAGs, his projects are mostly indies. The ones campaigning harder for him was film twittter and critics.
