Green Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Inb4 the SAG pulls an Idris Elba / Emily Blunt and give the Best Actress award to Viola or Danielle That would make Best Actress even more exicting because the SAG winner will be useless for the Oscar race
Life Savers Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Cate will and should win. It'll be a good night for EEAAO regardless.
Eóghan Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 And btw this is record breaking year for Irish cinema 14 nominations in total, including an impressive domination in the acting field.

Green Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 What I like about this Andrea nomination is that voters basically said **** precursors we will nominate whoever we want.
UnusualBoy Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Ana de Armas had no business in the Lead Actress race but then again the Oscars have always been a mess. Happy for JLC & Brendan. Does Brendan have any chance to win or Colin has it on lock?

wesleywalrus Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Imagine watching TÁR and EEAAO and thinking Yeoh should win over Blanchett. Cmon. If it’s based on merit alone Blanchett wins her third. She’s just that good.

Liafen Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 4-time Academy Award-winner Frances McDormand just scooping up another BP Nomination. We love a multitalented legend!

Yes Cate was better but Yeoh isn't far behind, she delivered in all aspects, it was very eclectic and extremely physical. She clearly has a chance.

Cate does a full body possession while Yeoh is referencing her iconic career in the performance itself and makes the character deeply human. they both have a good shot. that being said, Tár is the best film of 2022 and deserves every single award. the fact that it didn't get sound is criminal. also, yes Riseboroguh didn't have a real campaign but her performance is worthy of a nomination. Ana on the other hand... no words.
Slate Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Super happy about All Quiet On The Western Front and Triangle of Sadness doing so well. The fumes at Ana getting in are hilarious
Liafen Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 December 12, 2022 Riseborough is snubbed in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Drama category during the Golden Globe nominations. December 14, 2022 Riseborough is snubbed in the Best Actress category at the Critics Choice Awards nominations. January 11, 2023 Riseborough is snubbed in the Best Actress category at the SAG Awards nominations.
Liafen Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 (edited) the way they had the opportunity to have the most iconic best actress lineup and they did... that Edited January 24, 2023 by Liafen
Komet Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 BAFTA having a better Best Actress lineup once again

Mr. Duff Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 PAUL MESCAL I am so happy he made it!!! Andrea WTFFFFF Ciao Papa and Dolly de Leon snubbed Surprised that The Quiet Girl from ireland made it to International Film.
