hausofdave Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 ig theres really no point in campaigning throughout the season anymore. Just pay your celebrity friends to tweet about you during voting and your nomination is secured
Donquizote Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Academy Award nominee Ana De Armas yasssssssss
Kylizzle Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 EEAAO is loved enough to sneak into random places like original song. Best Picture is in the bag
midnightdawn Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 The gasps in the audience when Andrea was announced
EnigmaticAndroid Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 That Deadwyler snub is so f*cking foul
Hector Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Andrea's nomination truly leaves me more blindsided than any other nomination in the last decade Even Marina De Tavira's Roma nomination (deserved) was nowhere near as shocking!
kwek_kwek Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 AMPAS said 4 WOCs are enough for actress categories. But it should 7 WOCs. Damn, AMPAS!
Digitalism Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 (edited) So unexpected noms: -Ana working the night shift to get that nom -Andrea being embarrasing -Mescal but that category was so weak. They were not going to sneak in Tom cruise -Bryan Tyree Henry. Nobody cared about that movie. -Traingle of sandness yaassssss. -Thought Woman Talking was going to tank because of the latest reception it got. I love Sarah -Babylon's payola didn't work Snubs: -Decision to Leave -All the directors that could have taken Spielberg's spot. This is not Ostlund best movie but it is mainstream and I guess they are nominating him as a career award. Edward Berger, Park Chan Wook, Rajamouli and Charlotte Wells all deserved it more -The best actress category being a mess and showing that talent doesn't matter, It's just promo in Hollywood. Obviously Danielle and Viola deserved. -I guess people got tired of everybody praising the Fabelmans and poor Paul Dano got screwed -Dolly de Leon not getting it instead of JLC JLC, Ana, Andrea proving that this awards shows are not about talent but about who you know Edited January 24, 2023 by Digitalism

Liafen Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 POC snubs in the category will help Icon Yeoh Though I'd say Tár also overperformed Andrea's check clearing in the last minute tho dddd
Gui Blackout Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Indian twitter is having meltdowns over the RRR snub

Eóghan Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Not the two frontrunner black women getting kicked out of the best actress race by a campaign group of privileged white women The Oscars is really the gift that keeps on giving
