Andrea getting in through a last minute industry push is absolutely hilarious.

to be fair, it is an industry award. it makes more sense than people getting in cuz pundits or twitter pushing them.

but like...why is triangle in for bp/bd/writing but not de leon? weird. but i suspect it was hsu who edged her out so i'm ok with that.

them squeezing in Yeoh just so they can't scream #OscarsSoWhite

Yeoh is most likely winning, she is not "squeezed in"

I will truly enjoy them getting dragged for favouring two mediocre performance by two white women over Viola and Deadwyler

her campaign is very subtle and minimal even mmmm

Many actors were pushing her for a nomination, including Cate Blanchett in her speech.

Michelle Yeoh is the one audiences cheer for and Cate is who they went home and actually voted for :toofunny2:

Andrea, the industry PLANT that you are. This is WILDDDD.

By the way, crazy that Top Gun missed Cinematography. And EEAAO is so winning BP. But TAR overperformed too so Cate is taking BA, sadly.

Side eyeing all the actresses who campaigned for that one lady. It’s a little sus

THE BIGGEST TRAGEDY

Andrea Riseborough I AM HOWLING.

white Michelle still sneaking in despite the confusion

Ana de Armas' Marilyn getting in was...a choice.  Danielle Deadwyler should've had her spot.

Brian Tyree Henry sneaking in is interesting, but I'm cool with it.  Im just intrigued that it's at Paul Dano's expense and not Judd Hirsch's

Supporting Actress as expected tbh, though with the other Triangle of Sadness nominations I'm kind of surprised Dolly didn't pull through.

Actor as expected.

No Top Gun: Maverick in Cinematography is SHOCKING.

I need a documentary about how this campaign came about because this was truly unprecedented :hoetenks:

Nope
She did her promo were you get the votes
She harassed all of her friend in hollywood to vote for her and push for her on social media. Some people were even posting i'm voting for Andrea
Since most people don't watch the movies and apparently Andrea is liked in Hollywood that type of promo can get you a lot of votes
