Most of those girls above her just promoted at the Grammys. Adele hasn’t made a promotional appearance for months.

But this is supposed to be THE Adele, one of the girlies above her has also not promoted for months :michael:

I love her. And I love the album tbh. BUT, I am not surprised about the performance - she isn´t doing anything to be present in the minds of people. Even an Adele has to do a tour. She can't blame COVID anymore. She has to go into more shows. It was weird not seeing her at the Grammys. I can't imagine, that they didn't asked her.

It's kinda mysterious, that she is silent for that long time. About the music, album, tour or even Vegas. She said in the beginning of the year: "Rested and Re-Set! Feeling ready for 2022, there’s so much coming, I’m excited for you all to see it x"

Well, 4 month later, what does she mean?

I swear this era has been one money pit after another.

First, they spent all that money lighting up the world landmarks but no one knew what the hell it was for.

Then, they promoted EOM to high heavens on streaming and radio only for it to start collapsing as soon as they let it fall from #1.

Then they paid millions to cut the line at the vinyl factories to produce hundreds of thousands of unsold copies, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of CDs that are sitting on discount racks or in distribution facilities, never to be touched again.

Then there was the whole Vegas debacle, with all the promo money going down the drain, let alone the fact that she had her label pay to renovate the venue that she ended up canceling the NIGHT BEFORE. Caesar's ended up undoing all that work anyway, which is what makes it so funny to me :bibliahh:

Finally, her label is going to have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to get all the unsold CDs and vinyls shipped BACK to them.

Yes, the era has done big numbers, but considering how much must have been put into it, I seriously doubt it broke even. I just know the Columbia executives are resenting and regretting signing Adele right now :gaycat6:

With the album OUT of the top 40 and likely to stay that way for a while, this era really does seem like a big disaster for everyone involved. I just know the OTH who hid behind Adele and got their kii's when Taylor moved her release date are fuming now :clap3:

I wouldn’t be surprised if we never saw an Adele album again. It’s far too costly for her label to cart her out!

My Turn - 4,123,000

Shoots For The Star, Aim For The Moon - 3,972,000

After Hours - 3,576,000

Future Nostalgia - 2,607,000

Certified Lover Boy - 2,402,000

So yeah, I doubt it 30 will outsell these albums in the end, her "fans" truly set her up :deadbanana4:

What is 30's units(including pre-release)?

If I'm not mistaken, it's at like 2.35M or so

I just hate that she is basically refusing to promote the album more. "Oh My God" should have been performed live already and I don't buy that her fans don't want to hear an uptempo like she so claims. I know we're still waiting on the "I Drink Wine" music video and I hope it helps bring people's attention back to the album.

It's falling everywhere.

Even Tones And I's album had better longevity and NOBODY listened to the album lmao.

Billboard 200: #40 (=) The Kids are Coming @tonesandimusic (20 Weeks) *Peak 30 for 1 week

----------------BARRIER---------------

Billboard 200: #41 (-12) 30 @Adele (20 weeks) *peak #1 for 6 weeks*

She'll be below 1989 in streams and below folklore in BB200 in like 2 weeks.

They might go a bit lower key this time around and actually not be afraid ask her to meet them halfway: giving the label appropriate notice to press vinyl, CD, etc; having monetary and other consequences for not upholding her end of tour/Vegas contracts; requiring her to do a certain consistent level of promotion.

I see how her and her label may have been blindsided by this era basically tanking after a couple of months, since they seemed laughably bullish not too long ago - especially because she was going viral on Tiktok all the time. Now it’s radio silence.

You’re right — she’ll have to work like a “normal” pop girl and not ~*~THE~*~ Adele. Put some effort in.

The Vegas thing is a big one. She might’ve “gotten away” with it this time by claiming Covid-related issues, but in the future she needs to be a big girl and fulfill her professional obligations like any other singer. Even if I were an Adele fan, I’d be very wary of buying her tickets at this point.

Not the thread being dominated by Swifties :deadbanana4: you guys really hate ms Adkins huh

I’m wondering why they’re still not releasing IDW mv. Not like it will do any major damage to the chart, but nothing is going on right now to keep the era going. Their bandwidth run out to settle the Vegas mess? :rip:

That song shouldn't even exist, let alone be sang live :deadbanana2: She has better stuff on the album.

OT: I can't believe it's 12 spots lower than Red TV.

Dude, no :rip:.....

OT: Even though the era was still successful inarguably, it definitely didn't end up becoming the behemoth that we all expected of A4 to be but that is alright. In the end, she still has two albums with over 20+ million sales and doesn't that make her the first MPG to achieve such a feat since Britney Spears?

Adele's work life balance of working for 3 months and being off for 6 years

Ugh queen of wellness  :jonnycat:

Honestly her laziness finally caught up with her…

a 5+ year break is now officially a death sentence for anyone in music tbh…. :katie:

Not the swifties threading this as soon as atrl was up, the obsession is real :rip:

Anyway, it’s clear the gp didn’t enjoy the album or at least not enough to play it that often, also her whole attitude this era has turned off a lot of people so if the album keeps dropping it’s her fault’s and label’s :michael:

Making 'oh my god' the second single was such a mistake :rip: Don't know why her/her label are catering to pop radio when she's big enough name that they should be catering to her.

'Love is a game' and 'I drink wine' should've been pushed as the official singles.

Did she come back for the Vegas residency?
