I’ve always liked Harry, but this is the first album of his I’ve listened in full and now I’ve been going back and listening to all his albums. Cinema was groovy and Daydreaming was a bop. Keep Driving is cute. It’s basically a Kate Nash song Little Freak is a SKIP and so is Boyfriends. Rest of the album is not memorable to me. skwonderfactory Posted May 23, 2022 Share Posted May 23, 2022 Gave this a couple of listens and here are my thoughts: • I like moments better than Fine Line but I still believe his debut album is his best. • There’s some amazing songs and just alright ones. • Some moments were too sudden and didn’t transition enough, while the same or other tracks had too much going on overall. • Vocally this is his strongest record; it is also his most cohesive sonically and lyrically. • “As It Was” was an obvious lead single choice and a nice transition from pre-Harry’s House Harry to this one. Its got this very same summer-y feeling, which mixed funk elements with a very chilled atmosphere. Cinema could be a great single as well.
