That's exactly why I can't help but laugh at the "it's just not the right time to release" explanation. How can anyone seriously believe that at this point when she's spent the last 4 years repeatedly passing over obvious release windows? We'll get through these album bombs, there will STILL be no Normani album out, and then in the fall some other big artists will release and we'll be told for the 8th time that she can't release now because it's getting too busy.

 

I really don't know whether I admire the optimism or pity the naivety at this point  Probably a mix of both.

just a couple months ago it was give it time she’ll have a hot song on multiple formats. Chile. Just admit there is no plan and release the album. That is her best option and let it do what it will overtime

The music landscape is gonna be full of releases between now and the end of the Grammy eligibility deadline. She might as well just drop the song. There’s never gonna be a week where she’s competing for a #1 debut or whatever lofty goal they have in mind.

on a side note, a growing amount of the nation seem to be fed up even more so than they were in the 2020-2021 period (as they should) and probably will leave for good or just become casual fans looking in from the outside if this waiting game extends into June...

 

in some way this whole ordeal is actually quite sad as well...she's spent the last four years searching for the right time to release (fair enough 2020-early 2021 was written off due to covid) and STILL doesn't believe she's found it. if she still thinks she's not found the perfect time yet and that waiting around is the right thing to do then she's beyond help at this point. she really is her own worst enemy and it's horrible seeing her setting up her own self to flop. 

 

it's also laughable how she told us herself in numerous interviews that the song is coming in may yet not a single soul believes her, she really destroyed any credibility she had with the nation.  may isn't over and there's still hope but every one's patience is undoubtedly running thin now. she needs to come out of hiding. 

 

I can't believe we're in may of 2022 and we're all STILL writing these think pieces about frustrated we are...the absolute GHETTO.

Everyone needs to calm down. It's only been two months since her last single. There are still two Fridays left in May so she may still release something. I'm sure the album is still coming in June just like insiders said in the past.

I saw that too but honestly Normani doesn’t get the GP’s opinion on her music. She’s already hypercritical herself. So I don’t think it’d be productive for HER. Everything that Chloe is doing is good for Chloe.

Chloe has been giving content and is still technically a new solo artist. The teasing window for Miss Mani is over if she ain’t coming back with the single and album pre order link she better off continuing not say a damn thing tbh

I don’t think this is a “good time” to release discussion.

 

This is a pick your poison situation. It’s either “do you want Normani to drop a single on a night with 1 maybe 2 other big releases” or “do you want Normani to drop a single on a night with 3 - 5+ big releases and get completely overshadowed on Spotify playlisting, youtube, etc. leading to a Fair sized flop”?

 

Anything about the album release doesn’t even go into play until that next single launches. So we’re stuck in those scenarios.
