The camera work in SF1 was the worst in a decade. Even 2017 had better mid-range shots, and they are forcing that camera angle that shows the waterfall in all of them this year. They choose to cut to the furthest possible camera constantly.

 

The stage is a debacle. The black hole sun is an eyesore in every wide shot. The stage juts out so far that there is essentially no floor crowd and they can't show the greenroom/audience in the same shot as the artist without the artist being tiny.

 

We need a return to professionalism next year.

 

I like the songs in SF2 better, so hopefully that will lift my spirits even if the production is the pits.

People are such sheep and the fact that so many believe its a reasonable thing for them.to win to set a sign is beyond stupid.

Its the same country that prevented their own selected artist not to compete because she didn't fulfill some sort of Agenda DESPITE being voted by the public. This happened twice already (Maruv says hi). If u want to show support, donate where donations are needed and where change will result. This stupid song winning wont change a damn thing. You know, I know it, everybody knows it. Their win nullifies all the hard other acts put into it and that upsets me

And I obviously cannot argue against taste, but it becomes clear when u look at comments that "quality and likeability of the song" is not the reason why people who vote for Ukraine vote. Anyway, Lviv 2023 it is

The stage is wide af and there are only 2 entrances/exits for the camera operators (as opposed to 6 last year) you constantly see camera operators waiting on the side of the stage and all of the steadicam shots are slow because the operators have so much ground to cover. It's just not a practical stage design for a large scale tv production like this.

realistically, Greece had the best camera work last night by a long shot. some other acts were decent with their camera work, but there's just so much missed potential

Yeah, I saw them crouched to the side on several performances.  Initially thought they were dancers but they never showed up
