I would love for Chanel to win since its been AGES since a pop queen won. And lets keep it real, the last time Pop queens ruled the Europe was during Eurovisions IMPERIAL Phase - the early/mid 00s with Sertab, Ruslana, Helena, Ani Lorak, Sirusho, Kalomeira, Hadise... phew the QUALITY!

Its time to go back to the golden era of ESC

Toy won in 2019, and we’ve been rehashing the second place pop queen song from that year in every edition since

Ukraine is most likely going to win and I'm going to be really happy about it but deep inside I don't want it to happen because:

1) Alina Pash was better

2) We won't be able to host it in Ukraine next year

3) The number of people that are going to scream 'PITY WIN!1!! POLITICAL!11!!!" is going to be astounding and get on my nerves

Jamala was in the similar boat but the talks died down quickly and the situation wasn't as harsh as it is right now

Don’t worry, we’ll send NK with a high quality Fuego rip off in a few years and win AGAIN, and they’ll still try to say it’s political :heart2:

I really dont see the whole "too political now" angle. ESC has always been VERY political. Its mere existence is a political statement even :deadbanana:

That said, I wouldnt mind Ukraine winning again so soon but they shouldve won last year. Shum>Stefania

My money is still on Sweden. A very relateable song the old folks at home will get nostalgic to and vote for cause they remember that one that got away.

I mean, Serbia’s song this year is literally about health insurance and everyone is stanning. It doesn’t get more blatantly political than that :skull:

That being said, we stan Konstrakta and she better come top 3!

Ukraine is the most unique song this year and deserves to be crowned a winner next Saturday. :clap3:

If Ukraine ends up winning get ready for the future “proof that Eurovision is all about politics”…. which we all would have to agree after this. And the EBU knows this.

They might snatch the televote but the juries will level everything out. I don’t think they’ll end up winning but they’re a locked Top 3 for sure.

What y’all should really be crying about is the strategic jury voting that takes place by certain countries that are always front runners. Don’t be shocked when Sweden’s jury gives 12 points to Czech Republic

I mean the fact that some countries in the Eastern bloc still shamefully interchange their top points (jury votes) is even more worrying and worthy to cry about.

Two different points of view I guess. :sistrens:

But one also has to factor in that these countries have a very similar taste in music plus stars that emerge in countries such as Greece are per definition also huge in Cyprus for instance.

That doesn’t cut it for me, I’m sorry. It’s supposed to be a professional jury, carefully selected to vote objectively and if most countries can look past their subjective taste when voting in an international contest… every country should. The televote is another thing, but the juries were especifically implemented to prevent these things.

Just found out Spain's song was intended for J.Lo but she turned it down, lmao

Chanel is so lucky

Ukraine is #1 in the odds for a reason

they are 100% winning the televote

the question is how many votes the jury will give them :thing:

UK won’t win :deadbanana4: their only chance to do well is them likely finishing top 5 with the juries, that’s it :deadbanana4: the rehearsal clip doesn’t even look good, it’s just that everyone is so used to UK being trash that a single not bad entry is being so overhyped

I can see this going to be another Lucie Jones situation.

Northern European countries also do this, yet for some reason you’re pointing out Eastern Europe. Proving my point!:sistrens:

Not to mention the only two Eastern European countries that shamelessly did that have been kicked out of the contest, so now what :sistrens:
