There have been literally dozens of scandals. The “straw” that broke the camel’s back for these resignations was that Boris appointing a known sexual assaulter to Chief Whip. 
 

…However what really buried him is that the Conservative Party are haemorrhaging support. They’re losing the gains they got from Labour and losing safe Tory seats to the Lib Dem’s. Boris was very nearly ousted in a no-confidence vote by his own party a few weeks ago.

 

Basically he was hanging on because he led the Conservatives to a huge majority under the mandate of “getting Brexit done” (something Theresa May couldn’t do - although he managed to secure a worse deal than what Theresa had managed). It was all bravado and hot air that eventually fizzled away and the Conservative Party is in trouble because of it. The UK is ******.

The way Theresa was actually less dangerous than Boris in the long term and probably less dangerous than whoever is coming next too. Maybe we shouldn't have tugged on her wig so hard after all.

 

 

I read earlier that the 1922 committee will vote next week on when the leadership election will be. Who are we expecting in the end? Sunak could be a contender. He's a big name recently.
