Doogle Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 (edited) It’s always funny to me how people (especially people from other countries) weigh in on our leadership with these comments on women and South Asians. It’s not that race and misogyny aren’t massive problems in the UK but I wish people would educate themselves on identity politics. Class is the true root of conflict in the UK and neither Sunak nor Truss represent us. Nor do they even want to or pretend to. I didn't get this dread with Theresa, nor Boris, but for some reason Liz just gives off very sinister vibes I'm hoping that she will at least be able to lead the country without scandal after scandal like Boris. And it’s going to remain the same as long as the tories are in power. A general election can’t happen soon enough. That is, assuming voters have finally come to their senses. Which, horribly, is doubtful even with everything we are facing.

The UK were never going to allow a POC to be leader of the country, regardless of whether he's Tory or not so no surprise on that. It's already bad enough for Mayor Khan who has received nothing but scrutiny ever since he took over from Boris, although some of his policies have been a bit questionable. The options are just completely dire. I hope Labour take over soon, but even with that it looks quite unlikely.

Liz Truss wants us to somehow believe that she is going to magically fix everything with no plan. Literally how? And the general public still follows along even as we face starvation and freezing in winter. Ridiculous. All of this is so ******* unbelievable.
