finally watched the first ep but my bf and I only lasted 15 minutes before we rather spent browsing our phones it was so bland. I get what they are trying to go for but they just don’t have the creative talent

Is the show good? I gave it a chance to the MCU streaming era, but I got bored:

 

-Wandavision was great but they dropped the ball in the end, then the show was almost ignored by MoM, so it was pointless.

 

-CF&TWS was slightly entertaining but the fake Cap was boring.

 

-Loki was ok but too slow and confusing.

 

Then I didn’t care to watch Hawkeye, She Hulk or Miss Marvel, so is this at least shaping up better than those last three? Are any of those last three worth to watch or better than the first three shows?

Only 1 episode is out. It has a slow start. 2nd episode comes out tomorrow! 
 

if you don’t want to waste time or be invested week to week, you can binge all episodes in July! It’s up to you❤️

I think Hawkeye is the most easy and accessible to watch if you’re not caught up with the MCU. She-Hulk is a very campy comedy, and Ms. Marvel is a coming of age origin.

Is that The President dies. Nick Fury’s Wife is a Skrull. Daisy Johnson(Quake) from Agents of shield is in 2 episodes. Hill is dead. 

 

the rest of the rumors about a Big Avenger Cameo is just speculation. But in April there were Re-shoots. And I am positive the series is ending on a major reveal and Avenger Cameo.

I really enjoyed this episode. Olivia Coleman’s scene was great and I’m enjoying the slower paced storytelling.

Todays 2nd Episode was much stronger. The Story is finally cooking up. 🔥 Better action scene in the Meatshop,  Rhodes & Nick Fury’s talk was my favorite conversation of the show so far. Also Sonya is definitely gonna be a fan favorite 🤣 her scenes were Gold. Some moments are slow and felt like the first episode. But this really is fleshing out the Skrull story in a way I wanted. Also another crazy ending, tho i knew it going in. And it kinda proves one theory right.

-The Filming and Production for some reason felt a lot better here. Like the shots felt like they had more impact and budget. Also I feel like Rohdey scenes were serious but still had that MCU flair. The tone and humor was great this episode. 
 

-Nick Fury in the flashback and his moments with Rohdey & Talos were great. Glad he is given some real acting moments, instead of just being an old man out of the Game. 
 

-the Avengers name drop, Groot reference, Extrmis from agents of shield and Ironman 3 callbacks. Were cute. But I think they should still have more Easter eggs. 
 

-Best moments of the episode are definitely Nick Fury getting fired by Warmachine. And Sonya interagattion scenes. Also the revelation that there are actually millions of Skrulls on earth, and talos has been lying for decades. Something is off about him, even in last episode🧐Wonder of he will be a plot twist villain by the end

 

 

Negatives

-Gravik is not giving😭 he just feels so mediocre as an actor and as a threat. Like he definitely has balls to try and overthrow the entire world. His failsafe to beat the avengers is to build a machine to make SuperSkrulls💀 that’s kinda lame. I hope Carol flys down and stomps his ass. He is probably the weakest character for me so far.

 

-War machine was funny this episode but I’m not a fan of him choosing his job over Fury’s mission to stop the Skrull invasion. 
 

-I think the tone of this show is exactly what people wanted. But there are still slow moments. It definitely feels like an old school tv show, giving perspective of different characters. But the 15 minutes straight of just talking can definitely get annoying. Especially when they are repeating themselves. 
 

-gosh is obviously gonna turn good, but so far she still hasn’t done anything. It’s only 2 episodes but I hope they really start pushing her storyline more

Overall I enjoyed this more than the first! Just a few tweaks to the slow moments and I’m good. Next episode Fury realizes he is alone in the fight, but we may get some help from some old friends👀

It’s trending top 5 worldwide. But yeah it probably will stop trending by the end of the day. Marvel do need to update their marketing tho. The shows don’t get as much traction or attention as back in the Wandavision and Loki days. People just wait to binge watch it

SuperSkrull is the Fantastic 4 nemesis that has all 4 powers of the F4. This might be the prototype to that character!

They kind of reemplaced the powers of the Fantastic 4: Groots capacity of stretch (Mr. Fantastic), Extremis fire powers (Human Torch), Obsidian strength (The Thing)...

 

I loved this episode. Far better than the first one and that one wasn't bad at all. The show is really good.

Moving forward, here's hoping Sonya Falsworth becomes a staple in the cinematic Marvel universe.

 

Critics out there are fr been doing the most about this show. This is an overall very good series.

Loved the second episode and Olivia Colman really stole it for me. There was one continuity issue that really annoyed me though -

They made a point of showing Sonya placing the metal bar over the hook on the door, so that they couldn't open the door from the outside. However when the Skrulls burn through the hinges, the door just falls outwards and both the hook and bar are nowhere to be seen. What was the point in making her do it if it wasn't going to be relevant at any point?

I'm sorry but so far I've been enjoying this A LOT. I like the subtle pacing and the political thriller angle. First episode's last sequence was shocking and (finally) are risking more and rising the stakes. This second episode gave good action scenes, more political drama, and Olivia Colman slayed (that finger).

 

What I'm really liking about it is that they are truly delivering what was promised: you don't know who is who. The intrigue and confusion is excellent so far.

 

Two things I don't like:

- The intro (Regardless if it's AI done)

- The lame excuses for not
