Kate Bishop & X-Men. 

I don’t know how this is any different or worse then Guardians 2, Spider-Man Far From Home, Ironman 2, Thor the dark World, Multiverse of Madness, Antman & the wasp, ect. This is a great Captain Marvel sequel🤷‍♀️ I just think people have revisionist history about the other 30 MCU films when saying marvel lost its magic. Cuz this is more MCU like then what a lot of directors have been serving. Even with good films like Guardians 3 and Wakanda forever. Ok rant over. Hope the final box office numbers are better, so these box office Reddit nerds can get out of my DM’s talking about a movie they haven’t seen and have no intention on watching. It’s insane behavior to be a grown adult so invested on a media that they claim they don’t care for anymore. 😆

I’m hoping for it to Break Even so people don’t call it a flop or at least have around the same box office as quantumania

I watched Ms.Marvel and it gave more backstory to the movie but my cousin who hadn’t seen the show, was able to follow what was happening.

Yes. The movie has short clips that explain Ms. Marvel & Monica from Wandavision. They tell you the basics of each character in the movie

they could eventually shoehorn her into X-men since she's a part of the team in the comics now, but a lot of things have to happen in the movies before all that... and seeing how things are going rn, I don't think we'll get there anytime soon (if ever), so she'll just be in YA.

 

just imagine the backlash if X-men were announced and the first line up includes Kamala Khan  ntm on my girl Ms Marvel but that movie would make negative money

I thought it was really good!! I was already excited for the concept, just based on liking the characters, but the trailers really didn’t do it justice / didn’t get me excited imo, so I’m glad it surpassed my hype. I’m excited for what’s to come next (albeit sad we have to wait more than a year for the next MCU film, aside from Deadpool 3? If that counts. All we have now to look forward to next year really is Echo and Agatha Darkhold Diaries )

I remember reading a leak on reddit around 3 months ago where there was supposed to be two end credit scenes. One of Kamala meeting up with Kate and mentioning Cassie as Ant-Man's daughter. The second was a scene with Monica and Maria but I don't recall Beast been involved and I think they maybe added in him into it during reshoots of the film.

Saw this last night! It was good enough! 
 

It has all the right elements to have been a great movie. Villain was weak af, pacing, editing were the biggest issues. 
 

I really do think Marvel is hurting a lot of these films in the editing process.  They need to hone done on a great script and stick to it instead of months of reshoots like these last few films have to “fix” issues.

It will surely drop since hunger games is next week and that movie has had promotion

I enjoyed it! Definitely better than antman 3 and Thor 4, as many have stated already.

 

The singing planet was not bad at all. I am happy that it was short-ish, but it definitely left more to be desired especially with the villain.

I know it’s silly, but I’m low-key annoyed Disney+ doesn’t have a Captain Marvel  Collection feature like for other shows & movies.   Only the first movie is getting spotlighted and that’s it.

imagine if they left the tear open would've elevated the movie. I know they needed it and Monica to be "on the other side" to introduce the X-men, but damn, they have been teasing the risk of a multiverse but they resolve it every movie

I still say Marvel is 2 for 3 on movies this year Guardians 3 and this is a good step in the right direction as far as enjoyment. But I do understand why Deadpool 3 has to be a Banger next year for the General public.
