The fact they laid it on so thick that Steve was already living his dream, makes me think he could be the one to die Spoiler Steve is like the only grown character with no real love interest (besides the triangle), they even found one for Robin. So yeah he's most likely biting the dust in the final season and they simply pushed back his death. Honestly he's my fave character, I'm happy he's gonna be in the final season and it's gonna be ok if he's gonna have a great death scene. Don't see how he can have a happy ending. Nancy leaving Jonathan for good to return with Steve would be evil lol, it's not going to happen
Starkboy Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Ok but the scene of Victor Spoiler drawing the mind flayer is exactly what Will used to do in earlier scenes. Isnt that a huge factor to those who believe he's going evil? I honestly still dont see it happening it. Btw tell me Argyle is not coming back. You are not funny, just die.
Starkboy Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Also, I'm tired of people snubbing Gaten Matarazzo's acting and praising some who weren't as strong.
mystery Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) I kind of feel like they should have switched around Nancy and Max as the bait in the finale, since he cursed Nancy as well in Episode 7. It would have enhanced the Nancy and Steve connection if he was with her when the bait failed. Max could have seen the vision of Hawkins instead of Nancy earlier in Volume 1 when she was escaping. It would have also let Max breathe a bit as a character. Jonathan returning to Hawkins after ignoring and lying to Nancy only to find her in a coma would be so tragic. Edited July 2, 2022 by mystery

His daddiness has gone away Not sure how a time skip would work with THAT ending, but if so he better be hitting the Eggos hard to get the dad bod back I feel like the Hawkins group did not really acknowledge the fact that they ****** up by meddling with Vecna and actually ensured that Nancy's vision would happen in the end instead of doing anything to prevent it Which is okay if they at least show that angle, it would make the Max coma thing and the town in shambles hit a lot harder.
DoctorIce Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Nancy being chased and taking forever to remove a plank of wood that literally wasn't obstructing her from opening the door behind it.

Why is it not the mindflayer From what I understand, Vecna is the one who was responsible for everything ever since season one, including sending mindflayer. Vecna is obviously still alive since his body disappeared and Will can sense him.

Europe Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 So the mind flayer was just chilling there for probably thousands of years, and on a random day Vecna walked up to it, said "you will do my bidding!!" and the mind flayer was just like "yeah sure?". They really should have been more clear in the explanation of that part.
Young In Love Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 the final episode was epic what an amazing show
LP54 Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Nancy was never one of my faves but she is a bad ***** this season. I think Jonathan was dragging her down
BIAATCH Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Separate Ways needs the explode like Running Up That Hill
LP54 Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 For season 5 of Stranger Things, my only ask is to get Will a better haircut. I can't with it.

In his defense he didn’t do much this season and wasn’t the main character like he was in previous seasons. But then again I can’t really think of any good moments he had this season that focused solely on him dustin and Nancy kind of bodied him

Nebur Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 i just finished vol 2 and wow that looks like a blockbuster movie that final episode was a roller coaster

You had the argument scene with him and El fighting about how he couldn't say "I love you" to her, a scene in which she was giving it all while his performance was nowhere near her level. He could have given more to his performance at the roller rink as well. The scene between him and Will in the house after El was arrested and now their conversation in the truck when Will shows him the picture. His conversation with El at the pizza place and then finally when she is in the tank giving her the inspirational pep talk. There are a lot of moments there that could have had a stronger delivery from him. I agree that he is getting done wrong by the writers a bit but I don't think he was good in the previous season either, at some point in the show he just couldn't keep up with the rest anymore. discostan Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 So essentially Spoiler Since vecna technically “created” the mind flayer, He is the “big bad” everyone mentions and he controls the upside down right? Also this would be sick if it was somehow released in theaters. Could reach endgame levels of epic
Gorgeous Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Just finished... this might be the best season of the show yet. ST1 is closest to my heart tho, but this season proved that sequels can be much better than the original source. I'm still blown away by the quality of the last episode, yet so many questions. The Duffer brothers said in an interview that the hierarchy of the UD wasn't disclosed on Vol II, yet we get to know that Vecna created the mind flyer/hive mind from those particles, and that he was the one who pursued El to open the gate in 1983. I guess that what people have been speculating is true, and that the most important question still stands: why is the UD still stuck on the day Will went missing. I like how Vecna is basically the reason it all started in ST1, but I can't see them giving it another flip and making Will more tied to the UD than what we know.

They had the whole russian army after them AND monsters roaming around the prison and they escaped but decided to go back and even when they found out that misteryous fog was not there and more monsters got out they still decided to stay? And for what? In the end killing that demogorgon didn't change anything either. It would've been better if Hopper didn't "die" last season but died in this episode saving Eleven and her friends or doing something to actually help. What a waste of time The Russia plot + Eddie and Argyle were added for the adults watching the show. My dad loves them and most boomers I see reviewing the show lithe them too. Also the hive mind went into the demodogs and demogorgon that Murray ended up burning, it also helped El partially defeat Vecna, since she isn't ready to deal with him yet. I liked the Russia plot since it ended up tying the final and it gave the adults more screen time. It also tied up with the part of the mind flyer that ended up flying away in S2
