So she is clinically alive but I don’t think she’ll come back, or at least not as herself fully. Yep, I agree. She's gone for good. Her body will be a host for Vecna I think.
Angelgrande Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Whew this was definitely worth the wait. Emotionally not okay it really made me breakdown more than the hopper letter scene last season. Great season Spoiler I think max is gone for good. Her mind was empty she’s just in a lifeless coma I don’t see how they’re gonna go with that next season. Also Jonathan and Nancy gotta get it together the fake happiness is not it
Littlejfrey Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Am I sick for thinking Mr. Martin Brenner is a hot daddy?

My guesses for the final season now: Reveal hidden contents Vickie and Mike/Nancy's mom will join the main character list. That Army guy will still be after 11. We'll finally find out why the upside down looked like Hawkins AND Why the UD is stuck on the day Will got there (my guess is those two things are related) Based on the ending with the Upside Down starting to transform Hawkins....I can't even imagine the budget for season 5 I also think we haven't seen the last of Victor Creel, Owens and Russia might send Dmitri/Yuri to Hawkins to help
slik Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 I seriously doubt Max's big arc the entire series ends with her spending all of s5 in a bed...like were y'all the same people who thought WILL would die this year when the series literally began with him disappearing Also some of you are telling you on yourselves that you didn't really watch the last episode with all this "Vecna is dead" nonsense....like did you just tune out of the last 10 minutes of the season The entire series will 1000000000000% end with the following next season The main characters playing DnD and riding their bikes into the sunset
Hurem Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 I feel all the theories hyped me up a bit more than they should've, hence why I felt a little underwhelmed by the finale. Especially Chapter 8 (sans last 20 minutes).
slik Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Can we talk about how WILD this poster is now I thought the 4 different sections were because it was the 4th season...now we know it was 4 murders and 4 gates to let the Upside Down in once and for all
Venice B Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 The episodes were amazing but I think this season is the weakest as a whole when it comes to the plot. It feels like a lot of things happened out of pure coincidence while others were so forced it was not beliavable. Eddie's death was so unecessary, they did it just for shock value. In the end his death didn't change anything, everything would happen exactly as they did if he had survived. It's clear they needed to kill someone and he was right there. The whole Russia plot was awful, I can't believe those grown ass adults were taking those kinds of decisions. They had the whole russian army after them AND monsters roaming around the prison and they escaped but decided to go back and even when they found out that misteryous fog was not there and more monsters got out they still decided to stay? And for what? In the end killing that demogorgon didn't change anything either. It would've been better if Hopper didn't "die" last season but died in this episode saving Eleven and her friends or doing something to actually help. What a waste of time
Venice B Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 But can we agree this was the BEST scene of the entire episode? And maybe of the entire season? I wonder how that one user who gave us that rant about Nancy is feeling right now. Queen served EVERYTHING
Buffy Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Season 5 better bring Kali back. Eleven clearly cannot fight this war on her own. She needs more people with actual powers
Itz_Dani! Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) It was all excellent. One plot point that confuses me is How come Spoiler Eddie got killed by the bats and their bites but Steve comes out surviving the same attack Edited July 2, 2022 by Itz_Dani!

Steve only had like two bats biting him and one choking him? And Nancy got there really fast and saved him. Eddie didn't have the same luck sadly (but I still stand by my opinion that he could and should have survived and they only killed him for shock value)
Katamari Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Spoiler What’s going to happen with the basketball team and coma girl

However he had some lows this season and some of his lines seemed really stiff. Example, when El was in the tub and in trouble and Will randomly screamed like "Mike!... Do you remember my painting of us? You are the hEaRt !!!" I actually cackled. I felt the same he’s so wooden outside of the emotional scenes its enough for an Emmy I fear
PoisonCandy Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Although I loved the season and don't have any huge issues Spoiler I do wish they would stop this trend of killing the new fan faves. Barb, Bob, Slurpee guy, and now Eddie. It made Eddie's death less impactful for me because I saw it coming, I knew it was either going to be him or the pizza boy.
Katamari Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Using master of puppets was cute but Black Sabbath/Ozzy was right there MOP is already 7x platinum it didn’t need the boost
New Edition Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) Cinematic. Phew. Amazing end. So many great moments. I will say I had some issues with the writing of certain characters and non-resolutions but overall good showing. I hope Caleb and Sadie get nominated for something as well as Gaten and Joseph Quinn. Finn's acting just got worse Edited July 2, 2022 by New Edition

TheCheshireCat Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 I can't at this being the 4th season in a row they've killed off their odd-but-loveable white dude. S1 The cook who found little Elle, S2 Joyce's BF, S3 the goofy Russian and now the odd-ball metal head.

TheCheshireCat Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Also some fans saying Eddie didnt get a good send off because the other cast didnt get to say bye + we didnt see what happened with his body.... UMMMMMMM, he got TWO "goodbye" speeches and TWO dramatic eulogy moments from Dustin. My GOD no wonder they didn't kill anyone else, we'd need 2 more episodes just to fit in each and every named character's thoughts and prayers.
