I'm a bit perplexed Sadie is 20 (granted that's still a baby age to me), but I honestly thought she was younger than Millie, she just looks so much like a child. :deadbanana2:

The first few episodes were a little slow but still very interesting, but the last few episodes really scalped all the other seasons. Just snatched bald.

The way they used CGI this season is absolutely incredible. The older El - younger El scenes were so smart and technologically advanced. Genius.

It was hard for me to keep up with all the new characters at the beginning. I didn’t get why they decided to introduce basically a whole new supporting cast this far in the show, but it worked out in the end. The 80s nostalgia is running out as @chris1991 said though. I just hope they push it into the 90s for Season 5.

I hope the same. I don't understand why they didn't established a longer gap between the events of season 3 and 4. It would have been great and natural since the cast grew up a lot.

yeah it would be great if season 5's set in the 90s with a more mature darker vibe and less corny humor and with a villain as good as this season's :jonny5:

also haven't seen anything about him here but jamie campell bowel was the clear standout actor of this season to me

he was the most intriguing to watch from his first appearance and i like how transformed from the protective mentor to the more mysterious character with unknown motives to the big villain of the season

It’s taken them 3 years for season 4. Would of thought they had season 5 filmed already.

Duffer brothers already answered that question; they said that Winona Ryder's breakout role in "Beetlejuice" is the limit. Considering how much 80s pop culture is in the DNA of the show, they can't reach a time where Winona Ryder is a superstar.

So everything will end before 1988.

Here's the exact timeline

Season 1 : 1983

Season 2 : 1984

Season 3 : 1985

Season 4 : 1986

Season 5 : 1987

This is making me nervous for Max, like it would be so ****** if the season high point is her escaping Vecna just for him to get her again?!

the main reason it took so long is because of covid

I agree though, it would make sense to film both seasons at the same time since the actors are growing up fast and no longer 15-16 year olds like in the show BUT on the other hand it would be much more expensive and tiring for the actors and the crew who also have other projects to work on + it would be harder to prevent the plot from leaking

and Jonathan? Joyce?

Gosh I think the Will-as-the-main-next-villain arc is gonna happen since him, Jonathan, and Joyce didn't do anything :lakitu:

LMAOOOO not that being the excuse :ahh:

I'm okay with that then. I was raised by El Chavo del Ocho so i can deal with the boys looking older than their characters.

There are theories that Will’s forgotten birthday somehow will be mentioned in V2

What sort of logic is this when Sean Astin and Robert Englund both had already broke out as film stars in the years the story is set in…

Stranger things has to end before 1989. The whole point of the show is 80’s nostalgia and Horror/Sci-Fi tropes that defined the decade. Maybe a spin-off can explore what happens to Hawkins in the 90’s but it’s way too early for that. If S5 does a time jump it would only be like 3 years Max.

I know it's stupid.

But these were just guest stars I guess and not recognizable enough while queen Winona is number 1 in the cast and hasn't aged a bit.
