I never thought I'd make it in time for the new season but I ended up finishing a week early A few thoughts: I hadn't seen season 1 since 2016, so it was strange seeing them as babies again but most of all I was shocked how amazing the first season is and how well it captures the creepiness and horror atmosphere. It's actually the "scariest" season of the three and it's a bit sad how they let go of that aspect as seasons went on for flashy action adventure and cheesy blood and gore. The supernatural horror and dread atmosphere of season 1 was chef's kiss, I really advise everyone to go back and revisit. It's also the only season where they overuse the jump-scares a tad but they're so well done, I didn't mind. The jump-scares in later seasons are badly executed. Especially in season 3, they were laughable, I was shocked by the downgrade. But it's balanced well by great action. Though, I would say this. The humour and dialogues got better as seasons went on. Season 3 is the funniest and also got the best groups + pairings. The cinematography and production value got tremendously better ? The best character development and world building was in season 2 for me, season 3 was a bit of a stasis on that point.
