For all the critical lashings Venom 2 got, that movie ended up having stellar legs from week 3 onward. JW3 will be much of the same, plus with summer weekdays on it's side.

I am really surprised with the Cinemascore considering the reception. I guess the best sign will be how it holds after the first week.

Definitely better than the previous film. Probably a 6.5-7 out of ten.

Saw it Thursday night. It literally went from 0-100 in the first 5 minutes and didn’t let up until the end. It was definitely a fun ride. 
 

The critics are VERY suspicious. The garbage Marvel queefs out regularly is FAR worse yet gets rave reviews. I smell foul play here…

not really they've broken 80 on Metacritic a grand total of one time.

 

different people are allowed different opinions. looks like some people want story and plot, others don't need it. this movie is an example.

this site is so obsessed with charts and critics would be nice to see opinions of people who saw the movie that didn't care about stuff like that. Its inescapable on this site and kinda a bummer...

You’re right; taste is subjective. Some people stan talent, and others have Taylor Swift avatars. Glad the movie is printing money though.

Saw it last night. It wasn't very good, but it was just some dumb fun. I enjoyed it despite a lot of poor writing and narrative choices.

Thank you! Marvel gets outstanding reviews with huge plot holes and the same story. This JW movie is the BEST out of the trilogy and definitely a wild ride. Critics are so wrong with this one

I ******* LOVED IT. Was it the best movie I've ever seen, or even the best JP movie? No, but not only was it LEAGUES better than the atrocity that was Fallen Kingdom, but it was a really great movie if you're a longtime JP fan like me. I also don't get why people are criticizing the storyline, I actually liked it? I guess I can see why some people may not like it, but the rotten reviews are too much.  I'm excited to see this in theaters again, hopefully tomorrow.

I just watched the movie and really liked it, easily better than the last one and equally good or better than the first one, it had its down but its up were quite good, the Therizinosaurus serving halfway through and at the end, talent won!

It dragged in the middle due to all the random plotlines they decided to inflate the movie with but I liked it way more than fallen kingdom and JP3 so I won today

Well my friends and I spent like two thirds of the movie laughing AT what we were seeing so it was fun I guess? These movies are kind of dumb though outside of the OG Park and World. Like I just don’t care about the characters at all and the plot armour they all have is… something  the way they all manage to escape every damn time I-

Just got back from seeing this.

 

The beginning of the movie is incredibly slow, but once they hit Malta, it really picks up and stays at the pace throughout the rest of the film.

 

I throughly enjoyed it. Though, personally, I think FK > Dominion.

The first half was pretty boring and the only good thing about the second half were the action scenes. The main plot was thin and barely had anything to do with dinosaurs. It's also funny how Chris Pratt felt like a side character in his own movie. But that's fine, because the female characters all slayed. 

 

I think the reason why the scores from critics and the audience are so different is because critics look for more in movies than just quick, shallow entertainment. A big part of the GP goes into a movie like this to have a good time and don't think much about the plot or things like that. And i think both sides are valid.

Tbf, that’s the same score Fallen Kingdom got. So yeah, I don’t see it going down in terms of audience score but I personally trust critic scores more.
