I don't dislike any of the mainline FF games but I feel like FFXVI is the start of a new era for FF, similar to FFVII  

 

FFXIII (ahead of its time) and FFXV are controversial but FFXVI seems to be getting praise from everywhere. Even the haters and "NOT A REAL FF GAME" crowd switched it seems

9 is definitely in my top 5 FF games. I remember reading a rumoured remake of 9 online? If that is happening, I hope they keep the same charm as the original. I don't want some hyper realistic looking characters. If y'all saw that fan made one released just a couple days ago? Perfect. I want THIS.

I really like the demo, but the performance is a messT. Hopefully things are a bit more stable in the final build because..

I never felt that in my 3 playthroughs of FFXV. They balanced each of the 4 guys out well and the Prompto story gag doesn't get talked about enough. The only issue I really had was that Aranea wasn't a party member. She would have ate.

Truthfully I started playing it for the first time last week, it's the only mainline FF game I didn't play. It has aged very well (way better than FF7/FF8) and I LOVE the world and the characters, there is so much love put into it it's insane. I wish I could have played it when I was younger cause I know it'd have been an experience. Vivi is an ICON and deserves his flowers.

 

I've been distracted by Diablo 4 and the weather so I need to pick it back up again but I really hope it gets a remake as the leaks indicate. It deserves more than any other FF game.

So true. I'd argue he should have been getting this award for his work on XIV, but I really am hoping that the recognition is granted with such a widespread appeal and praise by the greater gaming community at large.

The entire 13 trilogy is definitely underrated imo (or at least I think it is? Not sure how the community views the trilogy now but I remember at the time the reception to the games weren't that great) but I loved it from the get-go and the entire world.

So I gave in and played the demo and... Wow. 

 

I feel like I will stan the women in this game tho. I just KNOW Benedicta will be that *****! Jill is interesting and that mother of Clive and Joshua.. Cersei who?

i am yet to play the demo, but i adore the FF franchise and for some reason clive just doesn't do it for me. he looks so uninteresting. unpopular opinion but aside from the storyline flaws and unfinished potential, i really cherished the feeling in FFXV of being in a group on a bestie road trip, especially with such cute characters (prompto and noctis). there was such a melancholic feeling throughout the game and i felt so sad after the time jump,

seeing them aged up and noctis sacrificing himself 

, the biggest virtual emotional attachment i've ever had i fear. haven't been able to play or look at the game since 

 

truly hope this game revitalising the franchise financially though and i'm really looking forward to all of the planned remakes.
