thatsmydemi Posted April 12, 2022 Share Posted April 12, 2022 Welcome to the new Digimon game thread: RELEASE DATE: 2020 PLATFORM: PS4, NSW, XBO, PC Quote Digimon Survive sees a brand-new group of teenagers, led by Takuma Momozuka, get lost on a school camping trip, finding them transported to a strange new world of monsters and danger. As they fight their way back home through an animated world of difficult decisions and deadly battles, players’ choices throughout the game will impact the evolution of their monster allies, and the final ending. Battles in the game are fought in 2D, in a more classic SRPG style. CHARACTERS & DIGIMON (from left to right) Shuuji Kayama, Aoi Shibuya, Saki Kimijima, Ryou Tominaga, Minoru Hyuga, Takuma Momozuka, Kaito Shinonome, Miu Shinonome Labramon, Lopmon, Floramon, Kunemon, Falcomon, Agumon, Dracmon, Syakomon DESCRIPTIONS OF EACH CHARACTER: Takuma Momozuka Partner: Agumon The protagonist of Digimon Survive. Takuma is a teenage boy with fair skin, short black hair with an ahoge, and brown eyes. He wears red-framed goggles on his head, a black shirt, and a white hoodie with blue sleeves, hood, and hemlines. He also wears grey pants and white sneakers. -I haven't found info about his personality - Aoi Shibuya Partner: Labramon An honest and gentle upperclassman, with an articulate personality. She handles the cooking and security of the base. She is very serious and calm and is always able to keep her cool. She is also the class representative and she is used to handling unreasonable requests from her classmates. Aoi is from a different middle school than Takuma and Minoru. Aoi is unreliable, so relies on the support of Labramon, who has a unfaltering and friendly personality. Minoru Hyuga Partner: Falcomon Minoru is Takuma Momozuka's close friend and classmate. He is a stable person that hates getting in arguments. Minoru is talkative, can get along with anyone, is very optimistic and tells a lot of jokes. Minoru's friendliness keeps the group together; however, Minoru is very careless, which often gets him into trouble. Minoru wants to become a brave and powerful hero, like Falcomon. Ryou Tominaga Partner: Kunemon Ryou refuses to accept that he has been sent to an alternate World and puts on a tough guy facade but is actually a coward. He is even scared of his partner Digimon Kunemon, and is disgusted by the Larva Digimon. Saki Kimijima Partner: Floramon Saki is a natural optimist that does things based on how she feels. She is known for her lovely appearance and outspoken conduct and has a free-willing and honest personality. She will make her feelings known no matter the situation, which often results in arguments with her friends. This personality remains unchanged even whilst stuck in the alternate world. She refuses to accept that death is a reality, and chooses to believe that everything will be okay. She joined the extracurricular camp so that she could make more memories with her friends, however none of her friends joined her in the camp because they find her bothersome and annoying despite the fact she looks popular. To get her mind off the fact she was ditched by her friends, she decides to try and make friends with Takuma Momozuka and his friends, which causes her to end up in the alternate world as well due to following them. Shuuji Kayama Partner: Lopmon A trustworthy and reliable leader, Shuuji is the oldest of the group and has a serious personality. He took part in the extracurricular camp because he wanted to help out. Shuuji is good natured, kind, and gentle, and is relied on by adults, often taking the role as leader, however this is a result of his belief in that he must surpass everyone else caused by the strict educational policy of his Father, and the brilliance of his older brother. He joined the camp to temporarily release that pressure. In the alternate World his general knowledge no longer applies, so he relies on enthusiasm to take action, revealing his weak side as he blames others and/or his surroundings. Shuuji finds Lopmon lazy due to its innocent and youthful personality, so neglects it, which upsets Lopmon and makes it feel lonely. Kaito Shinonome Partner: Dracmon The Shinonome family moved to the local area several years ago and it was Kaito's job to look after his younger sister Miu Shinonome when their parents were away. When they first arrived, Kaito was bullied and eventually the bullies started targeting Miu as well, which lead to Kaito angrily beating them up. After this Kaito became quiet and would glare at others with his sharp eyes, isolating himself from other people, obsessed with protecting his sister. To try and stop Miu from going to the local shrine which is labelled as a "no go" zone, he accompanies Takuma Momozuka and his friends and winds up wandering into the other World. Kaito has a strong sense of justice and hates corrupt things, but tends to pick fights and prefers to go about his business alone as he doesn't like to rely on others. Kaito cares deeply for his sister, worrying for her all the time, but they often misunderstand each other because Kaito is clumsy at expressing himself. Kaito's obsession with protecting Miu becomes even stronger whilst in the alternate World, leading him to become violent and hurt those around him. This obsession also annoys Miu and causes her to rebel against him. Dracmon helps Kaito calm down and think carefully before he acts. Miu Shinonome Partner: Syakomon Miu is an eccentric girl that likes to speak in riddles. Miu dislikes the fact that her brother, Kaito Shinonome, always interferes with her and so rebels against him. Miu's partner Syakomon likes to daydream, and Miu keeps Syakomon grounded. Miu is fascinated with the occult and finds the danger of the alternate World fascinating, having wound up in it after telling Saki Kimijima and the others about the forbidden shrine. Her eccentric behavior confuses the others and throws them off track DIGIMON SURVIVE ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER: Spoiler First glimpse of Digimon Survive story, new characters and Digimon Story: Quote The story takes place during an extracurricular camp over the summer. The main character, Takuma, and his two high school friends, Aoi and Minoru, go to an infamous local shrine, to learn more about its mysterious legend: the tale of Kemonogami. While exploring the shrine, Takuma meets a pink monster - Koromon. Before they can get acquainted, piercing screams fill the air. Rushing towards them, Takuma and Koromon come across a group of monsters attacking Takuma’s classmates. As Takuma tries to save them, Koromon transforms into Agumon; and together they manage to scare the monsters away. The immediate threat gone, they soon realise they are far from safe, finding themselves transported to a strange new world.
