The show’s second season introduced viewers to a murderers’ row of new characters, played by Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, Meghann Fahy, Michael Imperioli, Will Sharpe, Beatrice Grannò, Haley Lu Richardson, Adam DiMarco, and many, many concerning men. But Jennifer Coolidge, returning from the Emmy-winning first season, had another standout showing—the question of whether she could she reprise the role of Tanya again, however, was answered in the season 2 finale.

Season 3 is set to take place in Asia, exploring the themes of death and Eastern religion and spirituality. Coolidge surprisingly returns in a different role as Tanya’s estranged and bitchy twin sister Angela. Tasked to fulfill her much resented sibling’s last wish, she’s at The White Lotus Tibet for her sister’s traditional Himalayan burial. On this journey, Angela finds she and her twin had more in common than expected and learns some shocking secrets about her brother-in-law Greg. It remains to be seen which other troubled guests will grace the grounds of the mountainous new White Lotus property.

No arrival dates have dropped just yet, but as creator Mike White only finished editing this season “10 days ago,” as he recently told Katie Couric, it may be a while. “I need to reboot a little bit,” White told Couric on her podcast. “I don’t have a lot of gas in the tank. So I need to figure out how to unplug and refresh or something.” May we suggest…a vacation?

I see many people hating on Ethan in this thread. I just don't get it. He literally did nothing wrong till the last episode. He did about Cam sleeping with the girls because that's none of Harper's business and that's brocode. Harper in fact pushed him indirectly to sleep with Daph...

Uh, what? When you're married and your spouse is away, then you do drugs, interact with hookers, and are in a room with someone having sex with them YOU TELL YOUR SPOUSE. There should be no secrets in a marriage. The fact he didn't tell her then she found a condom and she gave him three different times to tell her the truth but didn't is what caused distrust from Harper. All she did was kiss someone else, he most likely slept with someone else. Do we forget Ethan also kissed one of the hookers? Yes, she kissed him but he initially kissed back. He stopped it, which is good. But you don't keep secrets from your spouse. Or partner. Especially like that.

I think even as a couple, one shouldn't share things regarding others, which doesn't effect the couple in question.

That finale :chick3: that person did not need to die.

But I guess that person's dumbness kind of asked for it?

Molly Shannon was the pushy mom in S1

I can see a return of Connie Britton (Nicole) / the entire Mossbacher family for season 3 as well. It's even been talked about by the creator and actor:

Earlier this year, White shared an idea for Connie Britton's character, Nicole, to return to the show. "He wanted me to be in the second season, and there was an idea that I loved for the character," Britton told Deadline. "Our intention is to do it in the third season. A piece of casting [Sydney Sweeney?] didn’t work in the second season and we’re hoping to [do] that in the third season. I would love to see a spinoff on every character in that show."

That goes against everything studies and therapists say regarding couples that are serious. You are supposed to be a team and never leave anything out, especially when asked. It's bad when you do.

I hate that I wasn't surprised by Tanya's death cause I saw this image 10 times (the 2nd scene was in finale trailer) :rip:

I don't understand Daphne's stans at ALL... Just because she deludes herself into thinking she's not a victim doesn't mean she's happy... :deadbanana: Her husband is a cheater, her kids aren't her husband's, the kids probably don't see their real dad, she doesn't have any girlfriends, the new friend Harper decided to **** her cheating man... :deadbanana2: She only has money and that's it.

And are we even sure the kids are her trainer's... Cause when she showed Harper the picture I thought she meant that the trainer doesn't exist and she focuses on her kids to stay "happy" :rip:

Overall this season was MUCH better than the first. I binged 6 episodes in 2 days whereas the 1st season took me months to finish :rip:

I take back what I said about Jennifer Coolidge. She was the best part of the finale episode. The pistol scene.... :rip::rip:

Laura Dern would be perfect for this show

This is the one true Icon we need at a White Lotus to investigate Tanya’s death

Stop posting links or pics cuz we can't see :cries:

@rzal it is heavily implied that Daph's kids aren't Cameron's. The scene in the finale where Cam was in the bathroom looking dead in the face when he hears his kid wanted to talk, then had to switch on a happy attitude before getting on the call was another big hint.

Great article about why Daphne is the best character. Meghann is playing her so well :jonny:

meghann is definitely putting in the work acting wise but that's about as much as i'm gonna commend because the character is just not a good person and reminds me of the kind of people i detest in real life. daphne as a person is a dumb ***** through and through. people who purposely stay in unhappy relationships just to continue this *** for tat back and forth bullshit just to be petty is vindictive as ****. girl take your kids(that clearly aren't even cameron's) and go to court and take him for all of his money's worth and do your own damn thing. it takes more work to be a piece of **** then wipe the slate clean sis. cameron's ego would never be able to deal with the fact that those kids aren't his so if they're going to be brought back as a unit that could be revisited as a storyline. maybe include the kids in it this time too so we can see how this clearly dysfunctional marriage works with the kids present. Guess why they work so well together. They're essentially a reflection of each other while they pretend to be that they're not smfh. I know women like Daphne in real life ALL TOO WELL.MP3 so it's not like this show is not rooted in reality in terms of making these characters feel human. Why people choose to accept on going cheating and then deal with it by either doing the same or engaging in alternate messy shenanigans makes no sense. Yet she wonders why she doesn't have any female friends? DRAG HA HARPER. She deserves to be pitied because Harper is right. It's all smoke and mirrors. The face that she made when she realized that Harper and Cameron hooked up then just switched to making it ok is really heartbreaking because going through life having to be LIKE THAT. Sad.

@SchmoodRingYou sound just as judgmental and negative as your fave Harper :rip:

im missing the show already but now that i've processed i just dont know how this show continues on without jennifer, she literally has all the iconic moments and she brings such a unique type of comedy that only she can pull off. maybe they'll prove me wrong, but i cant think of anyone that would be able to fill her shoes they may have really stabbed themselves in the foot with this one.

since we talk about the legendary Laura Dern, i'll explode if they explore a white lotus x big little lies crossover episode :ahh:

LOL some of yall are so deluded. Daphne is a total boss and def not a victim. She uses Cam's money to finance eveything she wants and she didn't even have his children.

The biggest loser is Cam. There are a few things that are more emasculating for a man than your wife cheating on you and having someone else's children while you know this and continue to finance her and someone's else children's lifestyle.  :lmao:

I can't help but think Sabrina's talent was wasted on the less well-written character she was given :chick3:
