chris1991 Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Think I’m most disappointed in Harper after the finale. Shes prob the one character that seems to be above all their BS!

EdgeofTeeth Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 I'm also #TeamHarper She deserves better than her weak, fraudulent husband. Also, I'm surprised and disappointed they didn't do more with the Ethan/Cameron storyline. It was giving serious homoerotic and codependency vibes for a couple of episodes

Well cheating is the best way to go find that rejuvenation but what do I know lol

It's not about "cheating", it's about them both doing what they need to make a lifelong relationship last, and that it's okay to not know every single minute detail of your partner's life. Daphne ends up, in many ways, the hero of the series and arguably the only character (in both seasons) who has figured out how to take control of her life and make herself happy. I cannot wait for season 3 I think it was the right choice and I saw it coming from a mile away even with all throw away clues at other folk dying . Tanya was a whole as mess, I couldn’t see it for her in another season. As entertaining as she was there is no way she could continue on
Dula Peep Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 In my mind the gay who escaped and Greg blame Portia for everyone dying and she gets locked up for life!
X~MoviePoP Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 I will say the guy playing the nephew/escort had great acting in the final car moments. Especially when portia brought up effing his uncle...his reaction was really good

Blade Runner Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 (edited) Harper and Portia are the worst kind of millennial girls because they're the type to think that they're smarter, more "woke", honest, and clever than everyone else, but in the end they're just as dumb, judgmental, and selfish. The show makes that very clear. Edited December 12, 2022 by Blade Runner
chris1991 Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 In true Tanya fashion….what if we find out that Greg wasn’t trying to kill her …just get her caught in a compromising position so he gets some of the money?

However I'd give Harper more credit considering her job seems to line up with her values (employment law). Plus I think her judgement of Daphne is exactly what Daphne wanted her to think. Once Daphne trusted her she was willing to open up about the realities of her marriage.

The woman who from the moment they arrived decided she was going to be miserable and hate everything on the trip? The one who despises Daphne and Cameron for being rich and selfish, while enjoying an equally luxurious lifestyle with her husband's money? The one who shamed her husband about jerking off? The one who tortured her husband for half their vacation over imaginary cheating, then actually cheated with his friend then gaslight him about it? That Harper? You cannot be serious The woman who from the moment they arrived decided she was going to be miserable and hate everything on the trip? - Her job was literally made fun of TO HER FACE on the first day, she had every right to be upset. Imagine if you worked your ass off to get through law school and some douchebag relegated your career to being insignificant The one who despises Daphne and Cameron for being rich and selfish, while enjoying an equally luxurious lifestyle with her husband's money? - She doesn't despise them. Cameron literally belittled her the moment he met her. She merely felt like they were putting on an act and guess what? She was right. Also, she clearly has her own money, might not be as much as her husband but she's literally a lawyer like You assuming she's only living this lifestyle because of her husband is not founded in the source material of the show and inherently sexist The one who shamed her husband about jerking off? - She never shamed him for this. She went out of her way to make herself more appealing to her husband despite feeling neglected. The one who tortured her husband for half their vacation over imaginary cheating, then actually cheated with his friend then gaslight him about it? - She was petty but did not torture her husband. Her husband literally lied to her multiple times and neglected her sexual needs on multiple occasions. Also, she only kissed Cameron, it's pretty clear that Ethan and Daphne did more. And the only reason Harper did any of that in the first place is because she was lied to Did we not watch the same show because your analysis is truly something else.
BeachRat Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, **** on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.

No wonder Ethan didn’t want to **** her Queen Daphne reigns supreme, although I feel bad of the marriage she’s in. At least she’s made her own rules to live life by and defines her own happiness.
Hector Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Jennifer Coolidge truly DID THAT, WOW Hopefully this does well next year in awards season, though the fact that this will compete in Comedy at the Emmys will make it harder to win awards compared to being in Limited Series this year.
Kylizzle Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Some of y'all are serving misogyny "Harper just needs to smile more and put up with being belittled! Her poor husband had no choice but to do molly with prostitutes!"

davorincek Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Whew this was great, an amazing season. For some reason I really liked Valentina, the "Peppa pig" line killed me lol. I also enjoyed Harper, she probbably didnt really **** that Theo James guy... But Ethan ****** that wife... for sure. So its a mess. Harper wanted to show him the taste of his own medicine. The hookers got the last laugh, but also I think its funny how this is change for that family... Its nothing in terms of money, and its not even a big deal to them, and they get to mess up and get swindeled but still be like "oh yeah just another monday"

Listen, I don't think Harper is like a perfect person (all these characters are intentionally flawed) but she was literally belittled from her first interaction with Cameron, he discredited the importance of her job right in front of her. Don't get me wrong, adore Daphne and Meghann's portrayal, absolutely flawless, but I think some of y'all are forgetting just how terrible Cameron was to Harper from the beginning of the trip.

Oh I’m not denying that, Cameron sucked too. But that’s independent from her personality. I’m referring to insufferable moments like dictating her husband not to order the white fish cause she thought it was “too fishy”, taking every minute of their vacation to talk about the other couple’s marriage being fake (whether that turned out to be true or not later on is irrelevant, it’s the fact she was obsessing over everything around her), etc. No wonder her and Ethan never had sex, and the thing is she knew she was mostly the reason why, otherwise she wouldn’t have told Ethan she knows he’s not into her anymore. I think Harper is the annoying quirky millennial girl, that’s who she is, and being around polar opposites (Daphne and Cam) only brought out those peeves even more in her.
Dula Peep Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Will Sharpe is part Japanese, him and Harper could return for S3 set in Japan after a death of a family member? That means more Ethan

That's fair, I do think some of her behavior is justified though. I think they could have done just a slightly better job at demonstrating how isolated Harper may have felt having dealt with Ethan's complacency. I think that may have made her a touch more sympathetic. But I do understand where you're coming from, I'm a little blinded by a love of Aubrey and her performance
