stjosephprey4us Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I'm praying that next season is the last. This show used to be fun to watch but now it is a pain to sit through. 3

True. They might need a bit of a break to actually come up with something worthwhile. Not that the earlier seasons of ASH were masterpieces or anything like that, but at least they were campy enough to sit through. Mostly anyway. Maybe the new series Grotesquerie will take over as the new Murphy horror-show if it's successful. 1
Musicmajor Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Well, that was certainly a finale... the first part of the episode was intense and then?
Daddy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 First half was so so good and then nothing. What a dumb and just BAD ending.
WildAmerican Posted April 25 Posted April 25 is this worth finishing?? i only kinda liked the first part and there's soooo much good tv out rn Kim K is kinda iconic here tho so maybe I will
jakeisphat Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Ryan Murphy should be prosecuted at this point... I knew from the jump this wasn't going to feel like a traditional AHS season because it was based off of a novel. I can't think of even one character from this season that was likable. BUT, I still watched and held out hope because the first 3 episodes were entertaining at least... The second half of this was complete trash. It was slow, illogical, and Emma herself seemed like she was winging the role. There isn't one episode or even a scene from this season that stands out among the others. I hope that the final season is an original story because this was not it, and if AHS comes to an end, it needs to go out with a bang. Big names, big themes, big budget, etc. The show made a big dent in 2010s pop culture and to let it end as a book adaption would be tragic. 4 1 3
stjosephprey4us Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) My ranking: Asylum Murder House Coven Apocalypse (mostly bc of the fanfare) Freak Show Hotel Roanoke Delicate Cult Double Feature (Red Tide higher than Death Valley) NYC 1984 Edited April 26 by stjosephprey4us
Have A Break Posted April 26 Posted April 26 8 hours ago, WildAmerican said: is this worth finishing?? i only kinda liked the first part and there's soooo much good tv out rn Kim K is kinda iconic here tho so maybe I will Not really... Although, the best episode this season was in Part 2 and didn't involve either Kim or Emma. Kim comes right out of the Kaia Gerber school of acting, but at least it seems like she understood the assignment that this is horrible in every way, shape and form, whereas Emma's decision to take this seriously is both hysterical and boring. Both are crappy in their own special ways. 2
Jack! Posted April 26 Posted April 26 IDK what juice they're sipping on but that's two series in a row now where they've gone with this specific art directed style for the finale and it seems to be going so well and then suddenly they fumble the bag. 3/4ths of the NYC finale was cool. 2/3rds of this finale was cool. But they just can't keep it up. I've invested too much of my time into this show to not see it out until the end (the overall franchise, I mean) but they're really making it difficult to stick around. I mean I actually did enjoy NYC but it's still so pale in comparison to what they've produced in the past for this show. I don't know if I see FX signing off on this after next season anyway, so unless Ryan moves this to another network, next season being the last might be a good thing. They should rally as much of the OG/legacy cast as possible and have a big blow-out season to at least go out on a high note. Imagine after 13 seasons the show ending for good on something like this. 3 1
Apolonio ₃₄ Posted April 26 Posted April 26 This show jumped the shark seasons ago but damn that was literally the worst finale. And the season as a whole was just terrible. I just wanna forget everything after Apocalypse. They need to cancel this show now. 2 2
RunBoyRun Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I haven't finished Delicate yet or 1984. But here I go... Asylum Cult Roanoke Freakshow Murder House Hotel Coven NYC Apocalypse Double Feature (if it had been the first 4 episode quality all throughout.... if only.) What I've seen so far from Delicate... it's not looking good.
UnderratedVocalist Posted April 26 Posted April 26 TRASH UPON TRASH UPON TRASH.... The finale was absolutely RIDICULOUS. Ryan is the only one who manages to outdo himself constantly, but in the worst way possible. These last few seasons have been abysmal. Remember when we used to complain about FreakShow? It's a masterpiece compared to some of these seasons updated ranking: 1. Asylum 2. Murder House 3. Coven 4. Roanoke 5. Apocalypse 6. Freakshow 7. Hotel 8. Cult I won't even rank the rest 2 2
chromatico Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I didn't mind the finale, bit of a lacklustre but I wasn't expecting a grand ending given the flow of the season anyway. Wish they revealed more of Siobhan's storyline though, but I guess that was intentional to keep the mystery around her character. Season was too short, but overall a decent watch. Hope they give us longer & more episodes for season 13!
Innocencelost Posted April 27 Posted April 27 I hate it so much to realize I've wasted hours of my life watching badly written, badly acted, underdeveloped and nonsensical garbage but here we are once again 4

CosTaSsSs Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I haven't watch that last two seasons. They are really want this to either get cancelled or truly feel they are doing artsy things.
Lexiel Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I skipped NYC and 1984, the last season I watched was Red Tide, am I missing anything else to catch up?

spiritboy Posted April 29 Posted April 29 I'm glad i quit watching this mid-season based on comments here
Hurem Posted April 29 Posted April 29 I feel personally offended by this god awful season. Emma Roberts should feel offended for being put through the embarrassment of having to work with Kim Kardashian and Cara Whatever-her-last-name-is. Both should never be as cast in any type of acting ever again. At this point, I'm pretty certain that AHS has become some sort of money laundering scheme for Murphy and co, cause there's no way this is being profitable for the network. 1
