This season was up at the top until the last 3-4 episodes. 
 

I mean i will consider it a great season just not epic like it was heading towards. It should have ended when the first killer was shot

Rewatched both episodes last night and it really was a great finale

Held out hoping for a strong resolution.. dumpster fire. Biggest gripe: Ep 10, Adam listened to Hannah’s tapes & she said something like “just as I predicted, my red blood cell count mirrors that of my other gay patients after being inseminated”. Basically suggesting that she chose to get pregnant as a science experiment to learn more about the virus. Earlier in the season, Adam wanted to investigate the identity of the Mai tai killer & she said she can’t cooperate bc that’d be unethical. Getting pregnant with a friend’s child to prove a hypothesis about a terminal disease without disclosing to him that that’s your motive or even telling him he likely carries this disease is cool but catching a serial killer is where she drew the line? Wtf?
 

So many plot details got away with being sloppy under the guise of “iT’s a mEtAphOr” but I’m not letting them off the hook with the sloppy characterizations & patchy tone. Other fatal flaws were writing off the lesbian characters after hammering into us for the 1st half of the season that lesbians are undervalued in the gay community (ironic!) & trying to humanize Sam & Patrick who were abhorrent & disgusting. 1 boss in finance undermines your confidence now you’re kidnapping, abducting & torturing people against their will? Your daddy figure shot a gun loud 1 time, now you’re a serial cheater who banged a dead body? Stop it. RM knows how to depict trauma. Can we get a substantial back story with enough weight to explain why these people were psycho? Hoped after the 8 meh episodes for a payoff that never came

 

I expect style > substance with AHS but this season coasted on the theme & expected the audience to forgive everything on the basis that AIDS was tragic & many fans are eating this **** up. “It didn’t make sense? That was AIDS” “frustrating? That was AIDS”. Shut your pretentious ass up. AIDS was terrible so the season was terrible too? Maybe it was just bad!

Not the last 2 episodes being boring ass sequences  FX should cancel the show already this was the worst seson finale of the series. Hotel was the last season that I hated this bad (didnt watch the second part of the double feature) but it had great gowns beautiful gowns at least. What is Ryan doing with this show cant believe it is the same franchise that had Asylum, Murder House and even Roanoke. Best moment of this show was that tarot card scenes.

This wasn't that bad wtf  The super emotional direction of the finale was kind of unexpected, but it was a pleasant surprise because I thought it would go completely off the rails in typical Ryan style. There were a few plot holes but that's expected at this point lmao

I give this season 8/10. The tarot card episode was horrible and my least favorite. There werent many plotholes and it had a solid ending!

This went from meh season to trash season so fast
