Shawn Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 TBH, it looked like those CGI game trailers that have "not gameplay footage" slapped on the bottom. The art direction is great, however.
ccfan007 Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Didn't expect to see the teaser on Dr. Strange. I actually started to tear up I cannot wait!

It is over for the other girls hoping for #1 movie of the year. Never ever bet against James Cameron. This is will be an escape for the holidays for people, just like the first one. The underwater scenes my God
fountain Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 The trailer is completely stunning, especially seeing it on the big screen
Da Vinci Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Avatar (2009) has better CGI than most movies to this day and it still looks inferior to Avatar: The Way of Water TWOW looks more photorealistic, better details on the face, eyes, hair and of course the underwater scenes which contains the most technological advancements They held back on the underwater scenes (probably because they're still unfinished) but that will be the main draw for this sequel I feel
UnusualBoy Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 The teaser served great gowns, beautiful gows, even though the OG was such a borefest, was visually stunning and this one looks even more.
Cloudy Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Never got the hate for this film, I think it was fine. The trailer is really pretty, I'm curious about the human child
izzy™ Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 I gasped when I saw the teaser, I didn’t get to watch the first movie in theaters but I’ll make sure to watch this when it gets released.
Mr.Link Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 I want to be excited about this but it doesn’t do it for me. I felt gaslighted into thinking the first one was “epic” and it was just a good movie with nice CGI.
BNF91 Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 But lmao at Disney already dropping the ball hard on the marketing. Using it to prop up their other releases opening weekend, then releasing it like a video game shadow drop online on Monday morning.. The sequel to the biggest film of ALL TIME, 13 years in the making. No announcement even a day or two prior to drum up hype? A film that once again is supposed to push the limits of digital filmmaking and it gets a single fuzzy compressed 1080p release, not even on all their official channels? No 4k official? A mess.

A mess. when you put it like that i thought it was just me getting a poor quality trailer and i've checked all the other uploads too and it's the same pixel-y mess in some scenes the aspect ratio compression is a MESS too the sequel to the highest grosser ever and the inspiration for one of their biggest SMASH theme park attractions deserve better tbh even dr. strange 2's marketing was a mess, showing way too much in the trailers let alone spoilers in tv spots, even kevin feige himself was mad very very weird

BNF91 Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Huge. Over 148M views for the teaser in the first 24 hours worldwide. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/avatar-way-of-water-trailer-online-views-1235144334/ If this gets a China release, we are going past $3B girls. Book it.
Smarticle Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Kinda want this to flop cause of all the delays hihi It does look visually stunning though!
Godly Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 The trailer playing before Doctor Strange was the best moment for me at the theater last night, it looked massive and epic. I'm SO ready
Madonno Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Amazing visuals, but it looks more than 3D animation for a 9S5 Game than action live...
Jotham Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) I just saw the rerelease of the first movie last night! Spoiler That sneak peek at the end. The movie looks so stunning. It's kinda weird though that the Na'vi kids were speaking English to each other? I'm guessing they're from different clans and English became a lingua franca between them? Edited September 25, 2022 by Jotham
fridayteenage Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 rerelease #2 at the box office on friday with over $3 mil. it still has a base.
