Since China and Japan are not giving the required numbers, United States has to pick up the slack and touch 700M. It would be quite shocking if this doesn't surpass top gun domestically. ? Top Gun was an phenomenon type smash in the US this year. It’s at like $700M domestic which is impressive on all fronts. Not sure where the shock would be

I will truly never understand why people hate on it (aside from it still being #1 of all time I guess?) i dont know anyone that watched Avatar and said they hated it in real life. And everyone in my friends circle have seen it and we talked about it. I think haters of this movie is just a loud minority group. The GP simply say yes. At the very least, people still satisfy with the visual experience they got even if they dont like the generic plot or character.

zzmyth Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Well it seems like it already crossed the 1B mark... 2B is actually a possibility now. I'm seeing it tomorrow as imax screens are VERY limited in my region... I think that is the case for a lot of people, that are trying to enjoy the film in the best possible way

Jaguarqueef Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Simultaneously, the worst pacing/storyline, but best looking movie I’ve seen in years. Huh.

Better Mistakes Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 The underwater scenes were visually stunning, as were the sea tribe area they moved too but some of the character facial expressions and facial/ body movements were wooden af at times 💀

BNF91 Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 (edited) Trades are starting to roll out domestic 3rd weekend forecasts. Box Office Pro is seeing a $56M wknd, down just 12%. $74M 4-day (Monday is a holiday). Would be at $432M domestic by Jan 3. We can safely say $500M is locked. $550M very likely and $600M+ the optimistic target. Edited December 28, 2022 by BNF91
pxxxtrick Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 I thought sitting through a 3 hour movie would be torture but I found myself lost in the story and it went by quite quickly. Loves it!
