I can't lie, it looked uninspired in the trailers.

Wait is someone In here really complaining about appropriating indigenous or black tribal this or that cultures by having “no poc” in staring roles. :doc:

Some of y’all get more cringe and extremist with your fake woke nothingburger agenda with every day that goes by.  I bet those crying hardest do nothing to change the world but tell everyone they are racist homophobic (etc) online just bc they don’t know how to have normal human interactions outside their parents basement.  Imagine being that bored and miserable.

Queen kate Winslet :jonny:

Just watched this and I am still mindblown with the visuals. A very beautiful and stunning movie. James Cameron did it again :clap3:

Let's hope that avatar 3 will be the last movie of this franchise cause it's so boring, it doesn't even have an interesting story to tell..

We watched this yesterday and I absolutely loved it. I was a bit scared when i saw it‘s over three hours but it doesn‘t feel that long. The story is… basic yeah, but i had such a strong emotional connection to the family that got me hooked throughout the movie.

Also yes, it is absolutely stunning. At one point i turned to my boyfriend and said they should just make documentaries about Pandora‘s plants and animals, i would watch it. Is there an official artbook or sth?

Watched this last night and the movie was just so stunning, there is no movie out there today that can match these visuals. Story wise I liked it better than the first, I felt like there was a lot more heart to the story and the children add a lot more to the mix.

Not sure about how it will do because it is definitely on the longer side but I think people will once again be taken in by the magic of Pandora. I genuinely can't believe the entire movie is CGI.

I could care less what POC group it appropriates, that doesn’t help your argument. The entire cast imitating those “indigenous” individuals are ******* white :rip: there was not ONE POC in that entire 3.5 hour movie. Yikes.

This was such a bold thing to lie about, when it's so categorically false. :rip: The cast is literally filled with POC, what are you going on about?

Yeah Avatar is the only film where I’ll put on some 3D glasses bc that was the most immersive experience. It was serving great gowns, beautiful gowns tho with that stale ass plot.

It was a stunning film. Although, I felt like it didn’t need to be 3 hours. Also, there’s a couple plot holes in the film. 8/10 for me.

This is flopping but I'm not surprised...no one is interested for an Avatar movie in 2022...

The visual was a 11/10 but the story was a 0/10, I still wonder how could he approved such a terrible storyline.

Not people complaining about the story :rip: It's a blockbuster movie meant to entertain and make money. Do tell me which one of the last 20 Marvel movies served an intelligent, complex storyline though

Great that King Cameron is being underestimated again :toofunny3: His movie like the first Avatar and Titanic were never frontloaded.

The girls never learn.

So I just got home from watching it… As a person who listed the original Avatar as their favorite movie for years, I have to say this one was borderline cringe. I don’t even know where to start - whether it be that white boy with dreads running around acting like an *animal* or the fact this movie, 50x more so than the first one, is arguably as appropriation as it can get with black tribal culture. :rip: Jesus Christ this was hard to watch.

I want you to reflect on this statement and think about why you saw nothing wrong with saying this…..

It’ll make its money back by its endless re-releases at the cinema for the next 10 years daddy Cameron won’t be worried

Not surprised. The first was only talked about the visuals. Story wasn’t great and no iconic characters. It’s 3,4,5 that might struggle.
