If they played Apartment Life, they would be ECSTATIC that EA is finally about to revisit it. On paper it was definitely a small dlc (literally just apartments + lukewarm spell casters) but it's one of the systems that aged the best in Sims 2. The new characterstics + conversation likes & dislikes revolutionized the entire social aspect. Also, Werewolves are the best supernatural we ever had.
