Bloodflowers. Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Just finished a crazy storyline in my Snowy Escape gameplay, I married a hot guy from a rich family and used his money to build huge house in my basement where I put gym, robotics and Home Chef Hustle kitchen materials and I treat it as a hidden, secret place. I might build a swimming pool in my basement next, but now I kinda wish my house is located in the mountain part so I could climb and snowboard whenever I want without travelling through loading screen. I can't wait for next Saturday to continue where I left off today 1 1

For example, "look at the sky" interaction from Lovestruck can work indoors. - Sims will get the Loyal trait's "I feel soooo bad " moodlet after they trash talk a sim even if they don't have that trait. This is a +1 tense moodlet that lasts for 3 sim days. - You can't fish in Sulani unless you use a boat 2013: "Eyes are the entry into the soul" blah blah blah in Sims 4's first official reveal screenshot. Literally a close up of their eyes. 2025: Eyes are broken. Don't properly animate anymore. ...I think it's time for me to head back to Sims 2. https://simscommunity.info/2025/04/24/the-sims-4-laundry-list-april-24/ The way NONE of these issues are expected to be fixed any time soon and they indirectly stated they don't know how to fix the indoor weather effects / Sulani bugs yet. It's been months. Wow.
schnetzka Posted April 24 Posted April 24 (edited) So I have a question for ya'll with laptops. I am looking to get a new one and I want it to be able to handle all of the Sims games with minimal lag. My current laptop I've had for almost a decade runs The Sims 2, The Sims 3, and The Sims 4 mostly fine although loading screens for the latter is outrageous (like five minutes in between lots) so I am hoping for improvement in that area. I don't have room for a PC so it will have to be a laptop and ideally I don't want it costing too much but we'll see. What are some recommendations? Edited April 24 by schnetzka

I've used an Acer Helios Neo 16 for the last 3 years Sims 2 maxed out graphics works perfect on it. Battery life of ~4 hours. Zero noise. Sims 4 on high graphics also works good but battery life of ~2 hours with noise. 1

Flocon Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Paralives is sharing infos on the Town they're building ! - Open world town (with shops, restaurants, work places, parks...) - around 30-60 minutes in game to walk between places we need (they'll add car later) - historic town center European style inspired - various lot sizes and premade builds - the town will have historical center, industrial area, rural and forest too. Looks like it will be alongside a river or the sea - around 50 to 70 lots (public and residential) They are really going into the details of the City, and they worked with the terrain high too. I'm REALLY hyped ! 2

Danny fondly remembers the family kitchen that he grew up in and used those memories of cooking together, learning new skills, and spending time together to inform the items in this Kit. "I smiled pretty big the first time I saw the clutter in-game and thought, 'This looks just like home.' From the stack of dishes waiting to be put away, to the slightly chaotic spice rack, to food containers and grocery bags scattered across the counter. A kitchen that feels lived in gives a cozy vibe. And it's not just for show! Grab a snack straight from the cookie jar or cereal box, pack a meal with the functional lunchbox, or do that grocery run by purchasing ingredients directly from the grocery bag." A whole lot of living occurs in the kitchen, from a refrigerator with colorful magnets and creative drawings to the overflowing groceries, bottles of cleaning supplies and strewn dishtowels, all can showcase stories of a busy family. 1
Deadlocked Posted April 29 Posted April 29 ...they will do a live stream for these cosmetic DLCs two whole weeks after they are released? Ijbol. 1
Deadlocked Posted April 30 Posted April 30 New update causes High School Years to use the same UI as Seasons holidays now instead of the Get to Work careers UI. This means you are now unable to see how much time is left for each class / lunch break. I'm pretty sure this also means if you go to school on a holiday, it will cancel the holiday since this is what happened to me when I tried to schedule a party on Christmas.
Deadlocked Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Pleeeeeeeeease they can't be serious Not 2 more expansions when we have so many bugged out expansions + base game issues Base Game: - Sims without the Loyal trait get a 3 days (yes, 3 days) tense moodlet if they trash talk sims. Moodlet even says "from Loyal trait" - Eyelids do not properly animate. Sims sleep with open eyes - Save corruption due to too many items, sims, overall stuff is easier than ever due to how much useless BS you get with all DLC installed - Random decorative items are gone from the catalog Get to Work: - Owned retail stores always closed when visited by other sims. Can't shop. Mannequins still work tho Cats & Dogs: - Same as GtW. Vets always closed Seasons: - Weather effects appear indoors Island Living: - Can't fish unless on a boat Snowy Escape: - Same as Seasons High School Years: - School now uses holidays UI which causes lack of timers, detention doesn't end, and the UI overlaps with existing holidays so sometimes sims will only get the holiday UI instead of school UI Growing Together: - The masculine sweater with an ombre has a broken mesh (chest area) And where are the game packs and stuff packs

Deadlocked Posted yesterday at 04:17 AM Posted yesterday at 04:17 AM https://simscommunity.info/2025/05/06/sims-franchise-andrew-fy25-q4/ Andrew Wilson also spoke very excitingly about the use of AI for game development including game art, animation and coding. I'll be honest with you ChatGPT has helped me extremely when it comes to code / bug fixes but I still have to keep my brain activated (as in, ChatGPT is just another tool I use, not a replacement of me) so this may actually be incredible for the game code. The game art and animations though...
