Best gameplay trailer ever. Actually answered many of my questions and showed off what it looks like in-game. 

I have used Get Together and the "money [value]" cheat for YEARS to try to mimic skill classes / private tutors for my sims.

Get to Work remains unbothered. Discover University, from now on I will refer to you as Servos & Debates. You did slap with those features I'll give you that. 

 

First day I buy this DLC I will create Madonna and she will own a candy shop called Sticky & Sweet.

And a dance studio to host classes in on the second floor.

And does it corrupt my game? Can I delete it by simply removing it out of my mods file at any time without crashing my saved files?

They HAVE to be coming at some point then, there's no way they would put this out there if it wasn't possible or they weren't planning on adding them to the game.

I've been binging The Sims 2 lore videos and it's kinda depressing knowing they'll never make a game like that again.. what happened to giving each character interesting stories and then getting to decide how they progress? There's basically NO point in playing the premade families in TS4

Car Life and Suburban Living both sound amazing but if they're requesting feedback now that means they're just getting started and storming ideas. We will not be seeing cars for at least 3-4 more years

It's really interesting to see how Sims and GTA have extremely similar trajectories and in the same timespans too, but they probably caved in to make GTA 6 because GTA Online needs a boost.

It's not a re-release, it's just a feature update that brings current gen features like ray tracing/global illumination and faster loading to PC, meanwhile the next GTA is still expected to release near the end of the year despite how huge GTA V is.

 

Not wanting to "start all over again" is such a bs excuse, they're already rehashing GTW. Since they want to keep stuffing this game with content, at some point the game's code (which uses only 1 GPU thread) will break and EA will only have themselves to blame..

Of course the fact DLCs nowadays are smaller than in the past helps with this (Nightlife is the worst offender. To recreate it you need 2 EPs, 2 GPs, a stuff pack and still there's no cars) but overall the industry is focused on games that never die.

it's a different market now. pokemon is selling better later in their run too for the same reason (and nintendo as a whole)

 

i couldn't buy every sims pack when i was younger. i didn't even know that some of them existed. games are much more accessible now and i get the impression that parents are more willing to buy games than they were back then.

TS2 details are unmatched, There's still new things I find on the game to this day.
