I just downloaded TS2. Never played it before. What can I do to make it entertaining to play? I heard it had some storylines involved but I'm not sure.

I always asked myself why cant the do a new pack for the sims 4 „nostalgic" (aka stuff, Outfits, world from the sims 1 base Game)…

Belladonna does have a fair bit of lore (not to Pleasantview extremes though) but you kind of have to dig for it. There's the family with husband, wife and teenage son where it's hinted that the wife is a beard for her gay husband (seen through simPE), and his brother in-law is a potential romantic interest for him.

 

There's also the meth head gold digger who lives in the trailer park. Back in the day when Apartment Life first came out, I made her have loads of kids with multiple different men and they were all crammed into her tiny little trailer 

 

Desiderata Valley is the weakest imo but it does have a family where that one sim is definitely f*cking her sister's husband.

Do I need to finish the quests on all of my saves or just in 1 save then I have all of the reward items in build/CAS mode?

Just purchased Get Together, Parenthood, Kids Room Stuff 3-for-1 bundle deal + Laundry Day stuff!! For 47 euros, best decision ever!!!!!

 

Now my gameplay isn't dry with just City Living, Cats & Dogs and Seasons! Game pack is highkey best thing ever, at least Parenthood is! 

 

Now I don't need to buy anything until crazy discount sales deal happens again! Christmas 2025 is when I'll snatch 3 or 4 expansion packs at 60% off, but if it happens that EA has a 60% deal earlier, then I will get it before that! 

 

Same thing with game packs, I will wait for 50% discount but I don't need anything other than Parenthood which I got now. I will buy Spa Day, StrangerVille and Werewolves but I am not in a rush for neither really LMAO, just expansions and few stuff packs

Within 5 minutes Bob and Betty hate each other, the house is a **** hole, Mortimer is slapping Betty because I made her dance with Bella, neither one of them can get promotions because they're in a permanent bad mood etc.

Meanwhile, my Bob and Betty are thriving. Bob is in the Culinary career while Betty stays at home making friends. They have a dog too (Buddy from TS2 Pets for console)

 

Bob does hate Ginia Kat though because she complimented Betty (seriously who at EA thought that a compliment was considered flirting!?)

I haven't actually played 2 yet because I'm waiting for the bugs to be fixed.

 

1 wouldn't start when it was first released but now they've patched it I'm not having any issues.

- Family recipes? hmmm okay

- Get Together skill classes integration ooh this actually excites me

- This is not actually a repeat of retail from Get to Work. You can only sell items that fit on the displays that come with this DLC apparently. So my furniture stores still need Get to Work to function. 

- Fear of being cancelled??? 

 

This is literally a better Discover University replacement than a Get to Work replacement. 

Not this about to creep into my top 3 Sims 4 DLCs after the meltdown it caused me 

The only thing that sucks about this DLC is that it's a really good "other packs integrator" rather than an actual DLC with content for itself.

Get Together and Parenthood are the best packs I have purchased so far! The amount of great gameplay I got, worth every penny unlike Cats & Dogs and Seasons, I now wish I didn't have weather cause it constantly rains ksksksksk but it gives you a concept of time passing by, and cute holidays (that I often times don't persue nnnn;) so its alright
