Harley Quinn Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I may sound delulu but I really think that cars are coming 1 1
Bloodflowers. Posted February 5 Posted February 5 When are they dropping another game pack?? It's been 84 years 3
PokiTails Posted February 5 Posted February 5 The way this is already the coolest Sims 4 trailer since StrangerVille We need more badass trailers like this:
PokiTails Posted February 5 Posted February 5 That animation in the teaser is from Spa Day tho, just want to point out
Hair Posted February 6 Posted February 6 1.5 hours until the first reveal! From the teaser I think we can safely say we are getting tattoo artists and pottery. I also think there will be some sort of incorporation of a multi-purpose lot based on the illustration of apartments on top of a shop, however I think it's likely to be 'Residential Retail' rather than having the ability to have like... a nightclub and restaurant on the same lot. Can't wait to find out
Harley Quinn Posted February 6 Posted February 6 (edited) $40 for 2 new activities, and 2 rehashed game mechanics is INSANE Edited February 6 by Harley Quinn 4
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted February 6 Author ATRL Moderator Posted February 6 so... Expanded tattooing Pottery Kintsugi/repairing(?) Candy making Skill teaching/imparting? The gym lot looked like a PT business Multi-purpose lots New world (I counted 12 lots across 2 neighbourhoods) Multi-purpose lot icons showed tattooing, baking, laundry detergent (laundromat with Laundry Day?), pottery, knitting, singing, gaming, a paw is that everything we saw? it's definitely giving more open for business than freetime. i was kind of hoping for the latter with stuff like ballet, more after school activities for children, a proper hobby system 1 1
Hair Posted February 6 Posted February 6 (edited) A little bit underwhelmed, without the addition of a world, this could easily be a Game Pack. I hate that they feel the need to package a world with every Expansion Pack just so it justifies the price tag!!! Also where are the Hobbies?!? An EP with HOBBIES in the name only coming with pottery... and tattoos (can you even call that a hobby??) With that said, with the addition of the Ticket Kiosk, it seems like it'll be more reminiscent of Open for Business where you could pretty much own any business. Here's a clipping from the blog post, and I could see this being quite fun: Quote So Many Businesses, So Many New Opportunities! A plethora of previous Expansion, Game and Stuff Packs have small business opportunities available for every type of crafty Simmer. See below for a few you can try: Cats and Dogs Expansion Pack: Sims who love and adore their four legged friends can open pet cafés. Get Together Expansion Pack: Sims who are down to dance until the sun rises can create dance clubs and Sims who game until the wee hours of the morning can open arcades for like minded gamers. City Living Expansion Pack - Sing your heart out in your favorite city at your very own karaoke bar fitted out with your favorite Simlish tunes. Get Famous Expansion Pack - Did someone say paparazzi? Open an acting school where you teach celebrities how to play the part! Spa Day Game Pack - Fancy a massage, facial or meditative yoga retreat? Say namaste to all the Sims who choose to relax with you at your spa! Laundry Day Stuff Pack - Scrub a dub dub in your very own tub! Collect Simoleons as Sims wash their clothes at your laundromat! Bowling Night Stuff Pack - Sims who are competitive can open their very own bowling alleys. Get a strike or a spare on a fun night out with friends. These are only some of the small business opportunities available with other packs. If your Sim can dream it, then you can live it and achieve it! Edited February 6 by Hair 1

Or running cafes from Get Together? Let's hope there are indeed more business opportunities. 1
Bloodflowers. Posted February 6 Posted February 6 At least this will finally be useful with Bowling Night Stuff and Spa Day, but only 2 neighborhoods and 12 total lots? Imagine how TIRED we are This will be a cute game I will purchase in 2027 when it's on 60% sale, till then I will buy Get to Work because I want aliens and fun work gameplay 1
Rogue_Redux Posted February 6 Posted February 6 This is a game pack at best. They're running out of ideas. Realistic ideas to say the least. 1
RideOrDie Posted February 6 Posted February 6 when are they gonna wrap it up and give us a great sims 5 1
PokiTails Posted February 6 Posted February 6 ONE OF THE PRE ORDER ITEMS IS A RE-MODEL OF AN ITEM FROM GET TO WORK this is pure insanity 3
Sailor Moon Posted February 6 Posted February 6 the fact that get to work was released 10 years ago omg
Bloodflowers. Posted February 6 Posted February 6 1 hour ago, PokiTails said: Get to Work in 2015: - ownable businesses (must be a lot of its own but technically you can live there if you never travel anywhere else. Can set employee-only areas with door locks) - photography skill (later added to base game), baking skill - 3 fully active careers - alien life state. Can have different types of hybrids - illness system - Sims can have birth at the hospital - The only DLC that allows you to make a sim instantly fit without the use of cheats. I don't know why, but it really is the case lol - 8 new lots. 4 buildable lots from the get-go, 3 secret work lots (that can be edited), 1 secret alien lot (that can also be edited). Hobbies & Businesses in 2025: - ownable businesses (easier to live there now. Hopefully...) - Ceramics skill, tattoo skill - 12 new lots -- Bruh. Is this a joke I can't wait until summer so I can snatch Get to Work Business and Hobbies is useful if you have a bunch of packs so you can run multiple cross-pack gameplay. I wonder if we could build apartments with For Rent and then add shopping or like a spa business at the top, that would highkey eat

Harley Quinn Posted February 7 Posted February 7 What pisses me off the most is that they purposefully bloat these DLC's with CAS and build/buy items to justify selling it for $40. This is why they stopped making game packs, which this pack could have been one. 1
PrettyHurts Posted February 7 Posted February 7 new pack looks fugly. i didnt get life and death either
Slap Posted February 7 Posted February 7 I feel like my continual support of this game and the DLC even when it's on special is like participating in some sort of large scale findom scheme by EA. Somehow I know The Sims 5 will be even worse. 3
Komet Posted February 7 Posted February 7 (edited) I mean, they stopped doing game packs for a reason, that reason being they're now selling them as EPs. They also stopped doing stuff packs and are instead pumping out kits; 2 kits cost the same as one SP but take much less time and work to do. It's shocking how bad the state of this game is, every time you think they reached rock bottom they manage to go even lower. And the sad thing is big part of the playerbase doesn't really play other games so they're not even aware that they're getting scammed. And they don't even have another game to turn to; EA's actually running a perfect scheme lol Edited February 7 by Komet 7

HSY and GrT worlds have trees that are not animated) 2024: Worlds may not always have seasonal effects ... ... ... 2025: Worlds will have 2 areas at most? ... ... ... inb4: 2030 - No more worlds Wait, is Cats & Dogs the last world with 4 areas? Yeah, the museums are useless so that island area isn't used as much but you can always turn them into a slay community lot, especially with Dine Out or Spa Day or something from Get Together like nightclub or a cafe 1
