Did you also see the new main menu has a tooltip that's like "Play nice? Nah, cause mayhem instead!" and my stan-brain was like "LADY GAGA REFERENCE??" and now I see this and I think it really is a subtle Lady Gaga hint after all.

We are either getting Abacadabra Similish version for the radio with Sims 4 Business & Hobbies ORRRRRRR we are getting Sims 4 Sweet Mayhem Treats Stuff Pack

The fact that they didn't re-release the games for Mac is absolutely criminal. I mean i'm fine with The Sims 2 cause I do have the super collection but I would love to play the first game again and no, I'm not installing a Windows emulator for that :next:

LGR hates all magical gameplay even if it's objectively good (see Sims 4 Vampires, Werewolves) so even if he does a review of Life & Death I doubt it will be positive.

He didn't even review Werewolves

I recently re-watched his Sims 3 reviews and only then realized how much he hated Sims 3 back then :rip:

His Sims 4 reviews are actually more positive than his Sims 3 reviews but after Eco Lifestyle he seems to have completely checked out no matter what they release.

I also dislike supernatural stuff but Werewolves would be the only supernatural pack I would get because the world is great, lots are well made and the gameplay would be a cute, little side-hustle gameplay I would do to escape realism gameplay when I am in a mood for something different. I was sold on Werewolves after I saw him pee on the ground, I couldn't stop laughing and I was in shock :ahh:

But from the game packs, I am only buying Parenthood this Sunday. It's the only game pack I would spend 14 euros on, the rest I am paying only 10 euros or less, and I am looking to playing Strangerville because of the beautiful world and military career, and spa day (I wanted Dine Out but it's a flop, so I need some lot types and Spa Day alongside Bowling Night Stuff might be cute, but I am not in a rush to get either on them soon, it might be 2 or 3 years until I purchase them ksksksksk)

Get Together will be my next expansion pack, then I am waiting for 60% discount to snatch Island Living, Snowy Escape (both a must) and then the 3rd pack would be either Get to Work, Growing Together, High School Years or something like that. Eco Lifestyle is a no, world and lots are big flops. Lovestruck is a big no. For Rent is a big no.

James Turner built all the Werewolves lots

Loved the videos he did about the thought process behind them. Maxis gave him details about the vision they have and he tried to work around that. That DLC is really heavy on lore which was cool. The CAS is super underrated and unironically this DLC has the cutest nursery items in the whole game.

Parenthood is so good, there's no new world but it makes up for it with all the new interactions you get.

I'm biased towards bowling so it's a 10/10 DLC for me hehe. This DLC was made as a passion project by the stuff packs team apparently. There was no other DLC team that wanted to do it so they did it.

- Get Together is SO GOOD clubs is one of those features that will literally always be fresh there is so many different ways to use clubs in the game.

- Island Living is extremely underrated to me. I actually feel calm in Sulani. So so gorgeous.

- Snowy Escape I think I talked about it already, very underrated and can go into Sims 1 territory of difficulty based on the lifestyles you get.

- From the other ones, Growing Together is the most "harmless" in that it's basically just social compatibility between sims. Tries to emulate Sims 2 base game. In theory endless gameplay but it's so vanilla (like Seasons) so it's hard for me to say if I like it or not. Safe, basic, but will be eternally fresh.

- Get to Work's careers can be addictive to me and retail stores work really different from Sims 2's but still fun to me. Aliens are better than mermaids and you can actually get human / alien hybrids. If Growing Together is the "vanilla" of Sims 2, then this is the "wacky" side. Throw in StrangerVille and it's the closest you can get to Sims 2 base game vibes.

- HSY will spam you non stop with notifications and is low key a glorified stuff pack gameplay-wise but the thrift store aspect works perfectly with the retail aspect of Get to Work which I like.

If they find a way to give us a tool to build some form of custom worlds in Sims 4, no matter how basic they look, I don't think there will ever be another sim-like game that can compete with Sims 4.

Thank you so much for your help, insights and reviews

i am getting Get Together x Parenthood x Kids Room Stuff 3-for-1 deal + Laundry Day stuff. It should keep my gameplay fun until next discount deal! I already mentioned my Sims 4 DLC goals, those will be the only expansion packs and game packs I would consider buying, unless Sims 4 drops decent new packs again (why aren't they making more game packs again??) in which case, I am in no rush to buy them and will wait 2 years till they get bigger discount again ksksks

There are a couple of stuff packs I will be buying on few occassions, like already mentioned Bowling Night Stuff as well as Toddler Stuff, Home Chef Hustle, and I may buy Paranormal as I heard it doesn't affect your realism gameplay unless you actively change your lot type to Paranormal or seek freelancer career that came with it

Also Backyard Stuff for the water slider and Vintage Glamour for the batler once they go as cheap as 5 or 6 euros

- New clothes look really cool. Feels like rejects from Growing Together and My Wedding Stories tho.

- The hairstyle edits actually have entirely new textures. But they didn't add those textures to the old versions of the hairstyles...they really hate the base game hairs from 2014 huh

- The windows & doors will be useful but the non-wood swatches look like plastic which bothers me. Like, if I punched them IRL, they would bend on themselves.

- The kitchen set is really nice. Again, feels like rejected items from Growing Together. The wooden swatches match the dining room set by HeyHarrie.

- There's a new column but no new fence or rails to go with it...but we did get a new frieze to match it. But it does sorta match some fences / rails we have, I guess

I really love how in Sims 2 the foundations flow perfectly into the walls and that you can paint each individual tile of of foundation just like walls.

And the fact there's no CC in this house so I know how to recreate this ooh I want to play Sims 2 now.

The bloom on that re-shade is extreme for me but I did mess around with my screen settings to make Sims 4 look more orange and it's definitely a vibe. The default blue tone is very dull, even default Sims 2 looks way more warm.

yeah the bloom effect is not for gamplay (at least for me), i dont like that red-ish color,

but the shadows are top notch
