PokiTails Posted January 28 Posted January 28 6 hours ago, RihannaLoverrr said: I hope they tune the needs system in TS1 cause they were BRUTAL Yeah there's a serious dissonance between Sims 1 Base Game's "try to not die" mindset versus the DLCs that were like "be a celebrity! Throw a house party! Go on vacation!" Otherwise I don't see myself spend much time with it in all honesty. As for Sims 2, I'm low key scared they may do some stuff that breaks my ancient mods that help tame back the # of sims the game creates by default (over 700 sims if you create a new neighborhood in Ultimate Collection. And half of them can corrupt your game if you look them in the eyes). They're all from before 2010 and work like a charm.
PokiTails Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I wonder if this means the PS2 titles will be re-released on PSN eventually because I would love to replay Urbz and Bustin' Out!
Dystopian Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Are they really gonna make people pay for a rerelease of TS2 when they used to just give it out for free on Origin a couple years ago Hopefully they at least fixed some bugs and optimization issues. 2

When they force me to pay for Sims 2 even though I already have it on EA App 6 minutes ago, BigBangStan said: I honestly don't understand how are these two supposed to work as stand-alone DLCs when: Police officers are in Get to Work Home robberies are in For Rent Blackmail is in StrangerVille Fame is in Get Famous Metal music is in Nifty Knitting Singing skill is in City Living The Sims Sessions event animations hidden in the base game code
Mr. Peanutbutter Posted January 29 Posted January 29 So Sims 1 and 2 rerelease aren't going to be remastered or improved in any shape or form?

We are in desperate need of more hobbies in the game so that gets a big tick from me, but the Business part I'm really interested in since we already have things like Retail/Vet/Restaurant businesses and the entrepreneur skill, hope those are really built upon.

GuyNextDoor Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Of course they want to capitalise on the aniversary and take advantage of dumb people that don't know how to make those games work in their modern computers Never change EA 2 1 1

Yeah we haven't received a new ownable business type since 2017 if you don't count ownable apartments from For Rent as a business type. Only way I really use community lots these days is for retail stores and clubs where my sims can boost their skills fast thanks to club perks. Stuff like museums, cafes are beyond useless to me nowadays. 5 hours ago, Harley Quinn said: So they're just remaking Get To Work now? Probably will be based around home businesses (which we should have had since day 1 with Get to Work...) And if you want to run an online store you need Nifty Knitting... 4 hours ago, bestfiction said: We'll be lucky if EA makes them compatible with newest graphic cards That's the bare minimum they have to deliver with these. If they don't do that... 1 hour ago, GuyNextDoor said: Of course they want to capitalise on the aniversary and take advantage of dumb people that don't know how to make those games work in their modern computers Never change EA My experience with Sims related reddits tells me that many in the Sims community don't know what the Settings menu in Sims 4 does (I'm serious) so yeah to make these games work on modern computers is apparently quite the adventure. 54 minutes ago, Sailor Moon said: everything is getting leaked huh And then Maxis and the youtubers will still be like "ooh what is this new mysterious new DLC about???" because of their contracts 1
PokiTails Posted January 29 Posted January 29 My delulu wish list: - Skateboards - Ceramics - Glass blowing - Modular train sets - Cars - More clothes to sew - actual hobby classes so I don't have to rely on Get Together clubs anymore. - Private tutors that can mentor you in skills - drums - electric guitar - ballet - new afterschool clubs (we haven't had any since literally the two we got in 2018) - scooters - buildable bikes - LEGO - custom tattoos - the ability to craft all sorts of elaborate clocks that actually move based on the time in the game 1
Hair Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I would really like to see multi-purpose lots introduced and I feel like it's becoming a more popular request amongst simmers. Maybe this EP would be the perfect opportunity to do it? Half the functionality is already there surely with the ability to section off different parts of a lot as different apartments in For Rent, and lots like the auditorium from HSY can literally transform into 4 different builds, it can't be that difficult to do. 1
