Now that Cloudgaze / stargaze and a fire pit have been added to the base game, Maxis may as well just officially give us the entirety of Outdoor Retreat for free lol

 

All the 2015 DLCs should just be base game by now

According to a Simguru, this was a deliberate choice. They wanted Ravenwood to feel like it's suspended in time so they didn't bother with the weather progression. Seems like a poor excuse if you ask me

The whole weather debacle in Ravenwood is so dumb. I get we should have a freedom of choice option (something that should have come with Seasons) but there are other worlds where the weather is static like Oasis Springs.

So now we have:

 

- Scenario guidelines 

- Aspirations

- Wants & Fears

- New Year resolutions

- Tarot cards

- Bucket lists

 

Should have reworked aspirations and fully replace it with bucket lists like I hoped they would. This is just as redundant as the youtuber career which exists in the base game and 3 (or is it 4?) DLCs under a different name.

Yeah this is exactly what I mentioned in my post about "to do lists" and the live streamer feature: they constantly reuse the same concepts in multiple DLCs. 

 

The only type of social event that doesn't use the "traditions" menu is birthdays so bookmark me, we'll get a DLC that adds that menu for birthdays sometime in the future.

You have to know the interior decor and color likes / dislikes of every sim in the household and take all of that into account. 

And some items have tags for several decor styles and colors.

Some items don't have any tags at all for...some reason. 

If the game doesn't let you ask about decor or color, the sim doesn't have any preferences for it.

If they don't have any likes / dislikes, you can do whatever you want with the decor.

And if you by accident showcase an item that was already in the house and doesn't match the likes / dislikes, you can still fail the job.

I haven't had a chance to play L&D, but I did hop on for an hour or two the other night to blitz out the Reaper's Reward challenge before it ends, I didn't want to miss out on the limited time stuff  Might play this weekend as I've seen that it's one of the best EPs they have developed, and Ravenwood looks great.

Make your sim cook hamburger cakes and fruitcakes and you'll max out the required culinary skills within 1 IRL hour 

 

Bucket lists >>>> Aspirations and Wants & Fears. Too good to be a DLC feature.
