In some ways yes, but they randomly dropped 3 expansion packs in 2023 with no indication in advance of this. Still didn't explain why stuff packs died off until 2023, and why My Wedding Stories launched so broken, and why refreshes don't exist anymore

2022:

"We will add custom pronouns to all languages supported by the game"

Didn't happen. No mention of this at all since 2022. No update on on how far they are on this. 

"We will add more to the world stories feature"

Didn't happen yet. In fact, they broke it because horses can be randomly adopted just like cats and dogs

"We will add deeper, more detailed scenarios to the game"

Only one scenario has been added since then

which was super annoying because the refresh was really good and I was excited and optimistic about what else they were going to freshen up

TIL that zip line / pool video Paralives released back in 2020 was fake. Pools don't exist yet in the game.

Life By You apparently will have violence but the recent gameplay video didn't really show much? 

 

It seems like every competitor focuses on a different aspect and none of them are the actual sim-to-sim gameplay.

Also remember how they said Wants & Fears only covers base game and High School Years? They lied. 

I have encountered wants for:

Vacation in Granite Falls (Outdoor Retreat)

TV Workout (Fitness Stuff)

Volunteer work (Parenthood)

 

Idk how or why this is the case.

Sims 2 is the main one I’ve been playing since 2020. My pleasantview sadly looks like it ****** up over the weekend and the thought of starting over again… I’ve moved back to strangetown until I can face it again

Yep, here's the exact statement they made:

 

We are currently in the process of updating NPCs in The Sims 4 including visuals as well as their lore. This will take some time to accomplish as we have to spend some time with each and every single Sim from Willow Creek to Henford-on-Bagley. That means we’re taking it step-by-step (or townie by townie) and we’re excited to update you at a later date.

Nnn this is almost exactly how I play except I don't use spreadsheets. The control freak in me hates my unplayed sims aging up and getting married w/kids when I have a specific storylines planned out for them

I absolutely adore content such as the Vampires skill tree, Get Famous quirks and Growing Together's personality shifts. That's the type of content I love in Sims 4 + clubs, restaurants, retail and now custom apartments because there's endless possibilities to those. 

 

So more of that would be good.
